OK - I need some creative juices flowing!! It's Teacher Appreciation Week at my daughter's daycare and they have a theme to bring in a gift each day representing a different color: i.e. Monday (Red); Tuesday (Yellow); Wednesday (Purple); Thursday (Blue). My daughter just moved up from the toddler room into this new room last week so I don't know the teachers. And I don't want to be the Mommy that gives the cruddy gifts!! :) ANY IDEAS????

What can I do next?

Dollar Tree has some cute teacher gifts, and you can probably find some different things in color schemes. Do not suggest spending a lot of money, and I am surprised they are requiring gifts!! that is a big No NO in the public schools. Suggest pencils, pens, stationary in the color, photo books, picture frames, candles, coffee mugs, etc. If you got to one of the larger Dollar Trees, you can find a lot of things. You could also create a basket of items in the color scheme. M.

you could go with a floral theme, red rose(s), yellow gerber daisy or tulip, purple pansies, and with blue you could get a blue pot with some white flowers in it. Go to Walmart and browse in gardening. I like the floral idea b/c they are nurturing your child and helping her to grow, like a flower.

I agree that Dollar Tree is great! They have coffee cups that coordinate with note pads, thank you notes, small photo albums, I got my sons teacher the cup and note pad and I plan on putting some candy in the cup and wrapping it cute, and there you have an inexpensive gift that looks great!!

Good luck!!

It's teacher appreciation week at our school as well. Do not know how much you are willing to pay, but Country Colors in Lucas (Hwy 1378 near Seis Lagos) have beautiful hanging baskets for $6, bowls for $10, and flats of 18 for $11. They have another location on McDermott near Country Club. I bought some for my teachers and they loved them!!! Another idea is gift cards. They love gift cards, especially to fast food places near your child's school. This helps out with their lunch budget. Hope this helps.
