I am trying to find a good place for my daughter's first swim lessons. I would like her to have a good experience and most importantly have fun. I am hoping for a swim school in the east county that is reasonably priced.
Also, does anyone have any information on inexpensive mommy and me classes for my 15 month old daughter to participate in?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I appreciate all the helpful info. from everyone. I discovered that there is a brand new YMCA right near my home. I think I will try that pool out first for lessons then take it from there. Thanks again!

The Grossmont Hospital Rehabilitation Center has Swim lessons for $40. They run once a week for 8 weeks. You have 2 options, Tuesdays at 12:30 or Saturdays in the morning. My son has been going for about 7 months now, and absolutely loves it. The teachers are great, and it is a very relaxed enjoyable thing. The best part is that the pool is inside and kept around 93 degrees, so the little ones don't get cold. My son is 19 months now, and it has been a wonderful experience.

My son (10 months old) and I just did swim classes at the Kroc Center(the Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Community Center) in La Mesa. It was 8 classes - Two 1/2 hour classes each week for 4 weeks for $60. It was fun, not much instruction, very casual, but the pool is nice, very warm, and the people are really nice. I would def. do it again. I can't find their contact info, but they do have a website. They are on University Ave. Good luck!

I'm taking my daughter to the La Mesa Community Center for swimming lessons. One session runs for 2 weeks, Mon-Fri everyday for 30min. a class. And it's only $35 for residents and $40 for non-residents. That way it's not spaced out and they actually learn how to swim this summer! They have 6 differnt sessions so you can sign up for more if you want.
