Has anyone ever tried this? It's a wrap for your belly and I guess you keep your same clothes? What do you think??
("swellybelly by nine moons") They're designer (pretty) floral wraps.
I don't mean the surgical ones, the ugly ones.

They are great for when you have the baby and want something on your tummy when you pull your shirt up to nurse!
Otherwise, they are okay for a while, but it's really h*** o* your zippers to leave them unzipped with a band holding your pants up.

If you are looking for more of a fashion helper, the bella band or similar bands sold online or at Target, etc. will be great. I have one and I was able to stay in my pre-pregnancy jeans for a lot longer than I have been able to in the past. Also, I am 9 months pregnant now, and at the point where my shirts will not cover the bottom of my belly. No problem. The band sits under the shirt to keep my belly or the jeans panel from showing. It will also help when trying to get back in to my regular jeans after delivery. I saw on the bella band website that some women have used it as a "nursing bra" at night as well-haven't tried that yet, obviously. Now, if you are looking for something to support your belly during pregnancy or after delivery, those are also available at BabiesRUs or other retail stores. They are more of a surgical band and are supposed to be worn under your clothes and you don't want that to show. As I've said, my bella band is awesome and I highly, highly recommend them to pregnant women!!!!

*I got one in white to go with everything. I did have to purchase a medium after I already bought the small. I was right on the line as far as sizing. If you find that as well, go bigger. If it's too small, it will roll and get uncomfortable later on.

There is also something called a Bella Band. It's made more for pregnancy, not for surgery recovery. They allegedly give your belly support and you can wear your regular pants longer. They sell something similar and Motherhood Maternity. I've never tried one, so I don't know if they work. It looks to me like th Swelly Belly is more for surgery recovery, not so much for pregnancy. There are some really great maternity pants out now that don't really look like maternity pants. I would just go buy a couple good pairs of pants instead of paying the money for something like that.

I have not used the swellybelly maternity bands, but after looking at the link you posted would say go for it. They look like they are very similar to the bella bands that everyone uses now. As you said they have a good selection of designs. The bella bands that I found & used were just basic colors... black & white. You could use the fun colored / floral designs to create more of a layered look using your pre-maternity clothing.... as long as they permit.

Hello!
I lived in Japan for three years and had my first baby there. Over there, they all wear a wrap under the tummy during the pregnancy and a different one for after the delivery (similar to the Swelly Belly wrap). So I tried it out too and I found the wrap during pregnancy pretty helpful. Sometimes that belly seems so heavy - it's nice to have something to hold it up. And after the pregnancy was kind of nice too, to hold in all that extra stuff :)
I usually wore the wraps under my clothing, which meant I had to wear clothes a little bit larger that usual - but hey, who doesn't when they're pregnant? :)
As far as the Swelly Belly product goes - I checked it out online and it seems to be designed for post-hysterectomy recovery, not pregnancy. If you want a wrap for pregnancy, I recommend doing a bit of research and finding something designed specifically for it.
Best of luck,
J. (mother of 2)
