I am looking for an all day summer camp or something of that sort to send my 6 year old girl. She gets bored at daycare all day and I am looking for an alternative. Something reliable and possibly outdoors would be great! Help!

I know that this is WAAAAAAY late to be responding to you but keep this in mind for next year. If you live in the city, the city parks have day camp. Once example is Wilmore Park. This is a camp for 6-12 year olds. It starts at 9:30 and lasts until 4:00, 5 days a week for appx. 6 weeks of the summer. And it is free for city residents. The kids go on field trips and lunch is provided every day.

If you are not a city resident of St. Louis, you may need to look at other options.

I am so sorry that I am so late in responding but there is always next year and the years after that. My kids are 12 and 14 and both of them went to this camp since the age of 6. My daugter is 14 and enjoyed the camp so much that she now earns service hours as a Junion Counselor.

Good luck!

I know the YMCA always has summer camps available, and while I've not used them, I know others that do and love them.
Also, if she is in scouts, or entering them in the fall, girl scouts has a number of summer day camps available all over town. I run a day camp at Babler State Park the second week in June. If she's going into Kindergarten, she would register as a Daisy, or going into first grade, a Brownie. I would be happy to give you more information if you're interested.
I would also check your local rec center. They usually have lots to do. Hope this helps! L.

Check out your local parks department. Kirkwood has a great day camp. Or check out Savvy Family Magazine, http://www.savvyfamily.com/. They have great suggestions on various kinds of camps and other great kid adventures around St. Louis. Good luck!

Try Whitecliff summer camps or Riverchase in Fenton. I know the one is Fenton is really good, my cousin works there in the summer but Whitecliff does offer some as well.
