Does anyone know of any classes / activities in The Woodlands area that may be interesting for my 2.5 and 5 year old this summer? We're looking for something other than the "same old thing".

What can I do next?

For your 5 year old, check out the Young Chef's Academy on Research Forest. My daughter (6) took a Spring Break camp there & loved it. Also, for both of your kids, I just saw that Gymboree Play & Music is opening in College Park next month. They have great classes. Also check out The Woodlands United Methodist Church (www.twumc.org). They have summer splash days on Weds throughout the summer for the little ones and lots of camps. WOW Science Camp (www.wowsciencecamp.com) is also there in the summer and that is the BEST camp ever. My daughter has taken it for the last 3 summers and loves it. For free entertainment, the church also has the Safari Stop - a great indoor playground. Great when it's hot! You can have bday parties at Safari Stop (through the church) and they do everything. Gymboree does fun parties too. If your 5 year old likes animals, WOW does parties too. Look under "Programs" on their website.

Hi!

Check out www.facebook.com/pixelparties or www.pixelparties.com

We are a Princess Party, Rock Star Diva and Super Hero Bash Professional Photography studio unlike any out there. Actually we dare say we are the first! We took the typically boring and expensive trip to "have pictures made" and turned it into an amazing experience for kids of all ages. Perfect for Birthdays or just for fun. =)

For summer: The John Cooper School in The Woodlands has a summer program for PK - 12th grade. Not sure if your 2 1/2 year old could participate, but maybe worth checking out. Here is a link:

Hi J.-

The Woodlands Children's Museum has summer camps for the 5 year old. You can sign up for 1 week or more. Each week is a different topic. My Gym has a couple of week long summer camps as well. Of course there is always a lot of activities through the rec center or through the YMCA.

Good Luck,
K.
