I have a beautiful daughter and a loving husband, but my problem is me. I was never a size 5 but I had lost a lot of weight prior to getting married. I really loved the place I was in then, but once I got married and had my daughter all just changed for the worst. I really let myself gain weight. I get into these depression moments to where I just sit around and cry. I can't look at myself in the mirror, I get very upset when my cloths show a bit of my rolls. I get upset with my husband when he wants to make love. I hurt all over emotionaly and physicaly. I can't be a good mother and a good wife if I don't like myself. I would like some suggestions on how to get back to my old self mentaly and physicaly so I could be a better mom and wife.

What can I do next?

I feel your pain! I always carried a little extra weight, then I had 3 babies in 3 years and I have held onto about 40 pounds of all that baby weight. On top of the extra I already had. Yikes! I tried working out with a trainer, eating right, etc. I could lose a few pounds but then would plateau and give up. The company I have been a distributor for for about 2 years now just recently added to our already great product line a weight loss product. I will say, I was excited at first, and then skeptical. I mean, I've tried every diet out there with no lasting success. Well I got on the product (figured if I was going to be selling it I'd better try it :)) and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. It is the easiest weight management plan I have ever been on, it tastes great, I can still eat what I want, it has ELIMINATED my junk food cravings (really, I couldn't believe it either!) and I am losing 1-2 pounds a week. Check out my website at www.LifeInTheHealthLane.com/trimslimshape.html. If you have any questions fill out a comment form - that will go directly to my dh & if you mention I referred you he'll forward it on to me so I can answer your questions. I promise I won't pressure you or hound you :).

Best wishes with whatever you decide to do!

Oh A.! I feel your pain. I am 38yrs old and just found out my husband and me are expecting again. I didn't lose all my weight after having my first born Jeremiah and now I am really trying to be careful as to what I eat while pregnant with our new lil' blessing. It's hard to lose weight. I should know, but our beauty comes from within and one thing I have applied to my heart is that we are only here temporarily and while we are here we should LIVE LIVE LIVE! So with that I will share a couple of biblical scriptures that bring me much comfort in knowing that yes... even to lose weight we can turn to God and ask him for help! for motivation! for guidance! HE LISTENS... Nehemiah 8:10 Do not be sad for the joy of the Lord is my strength. PSALM 32:8 I will show you and teach you in the way you should go. I will tell you what to do with My eye upon you. God Bless you... Hope you feel better

Hi A.! I'm sorry about how it makes you feel. It's great to know that you're blessed with a loving hubby. I do have good news though.

Safely lose weight by reseting your metabolism. To validate how good the products are. Check out Nutrisearch Comparative Guide To Nutritional Supplements and check out the company. Also, go to your Dr's office and ask to see the Physician's Desk Reference and look up, USANA HEALTH SCIENCES.

Here's my suggestion:
RESET: 5-day fiber cleanse, resets your metabolism, low-glycemic, lose the bad weight the healthy way, stick to the plan-there's a week schedule and a dvd to get you started.
The average weight loss for the week is 5 lbs. If your goal is to lose more weight, continue the program coupled with exercise, plenty of fruits and veggies, vitamins and motivation. Once you reach the weight you've desired, maintain it following the maintain phase regimen.

The side effect? You'll have more energy once you're in the transform phase and have a set regimen everyday. Oh and you'll definitely feel good about the new you. Not only will you look good, but you know that you've lost the weight the healthy way. My hubby was on the program and he lost about 15 in just less than 3 weeks. He's now building muscles at his current weight. He has more energy and he doesn't crave junk anymore. I'm happy about that. He eats soo much better.

For vitamins: HealthPak or MyHealthPak

You worry too much about the external things and your focus is on what you don't want, you don't like. Through the Law of attraction, you are drawing more of these things into your life. Start telling yourself you are beautiful, you are worth it, whatever your challenge - say you can do it. See it, Do it, and reap the results by focusing your attention on things that matter, things you do want. When a negative situation rolls through your mind, try to find what good can come from this experience. Teach yourself to look for good. Be an air traffic controller of all your words, throughts and actions. You are your own worst emeny, not your husband or any outside influence. If you choose it by word, you will attract it. Go forward with hope, faith and above all love...so these things will return to you.

Hi A., Im sorry to hear you are having such a tough time. How old is your daughter? Are you currently exercising? How is your diet. I have been hosting a weight loss class the last few months and we incorporate some vegan weight loss products, along with exercise and a sensible diet which includes 5 to 6 small meals a day. If you would like to chat and go over some ideas let me know Ill send you my phone number. I am in Northridge. It helps to have a buddy to work out with and keep you motivated, even if its just walking or taking your daughter for a walk. We are much harder on ourselves and im sure your husband thinks your beautiful the way you are, but I understand that you need to start feeling good about yourself. Here is a free website you can go to for some recipes and meal plan ideas www.gofigure8.com. Hope you feel better soon..D.

HI A., I would highly recommend Weight Watchers. I've never been a 'skinny' person & have sort of dieted my whole life w/o much success. When my daughter was 6 months old I realized that this weight wasn't just going to magically fall off of me. Once I got over that I decided I needed to take action. I joined Weight Watchers & have been very successful. It's been a year now & I've lost 45 lbs, which is more than I was trying to lose. I've maintained my 'goal weight' for several months. I'm 20 lbs and 2 sizes smaller than when I got pregnant!! :-) I have to admit, I never thought that I could successfully lose weight, but I have, & it feels great! Of course, I exercise as well, but I really do feel like Weight Watchers has been the key for me. If you are in the right mental place and are ready to lose weight you can do it!! Good luck and best wishes.

how long has it been since you had your daughter. remember to give yourself some time to heal and your hormones to settle down! i lost all my baby weight by changing my diet to eat mostly raw foods. if you only eat fruit for breakfast you are already eating 35% raw!!! i felt better within a few weeks, my skin began to glow, and the weight fell off of me. some people also call it the detox diet. i highly recommend it, i will never go back to eating the way i did before i had my baby. good luck and be good to yourself!

Hi A.,

A wonderful way to assist yourself with losing weight is hypnosis. If you want, I can look for a recommendation for a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist in the Oxnard area. Contrary to what many people think, in hypnosis, a person is in complete control over the session. If I could control people with hypnosis, I assure you, there would be world peace!

In addition to helping with the weight loss, hypnosis can help you to feel better about yourself and teach you to release negative and limiting beliefs about yourself, as well as deal with stress.

I'm here if you want more information or a referral.

Best wishes,

Val

A.,

honestly, it sounds like you have some symptoms of depression. your weight can make you feel depressed, and being depressed can make affect your weight. it's a vicious cycle.

my husband has been dealing with depression for almost 15 years and bipolar disorder for 7 1/2 years now. we have been married for 7 years and have 3 children. he has also complete dental school and is now working as a dentist. so you can see that you can be very functional. but it is very important to manage it the right way. this may mean medication or counseling or both. he has been using both and i also see a psychologist so i can support him the best way i possibly can.

once you get those needs established, i recommend a healthy exercise and nutrition regimen. we just joined bally's last week. mainly because of the child play center within the facility. our girls love the place too.

but the employees seem to be really dedicated to fitness as well as nutrition. we consider our membership there as one of our medical expenses. (obesity really is a metabolic disorder rather than a cosmetic issue).

the best of luck to you. if you ever need anyone to talk to, feel free to contact me.

I was in the same place as you recently and found a free web based weightlose community. It is called www.sparkpeople.com. I have had nothing but positive feedback since I joined. They have nutrition plans, calorie calculators, hundreds of great recipies and you can join multiple teams based on interest. I am a member of late life moms,inter-racial families and scrapbooking to lose to name a few. I have lost 10lbs so far! they also have great motivational quotes through out the site.
My favorite is:
It is impossible for me to lose 100 pounds, But I can lose 10 pounds, 10 times.

my goal is to lose 10 pounds 5 times!
Good luck to you!

Along with exercising and eating better. I also took a yoga class (or did it at home) about twice a week. I discovered that it really balanced out my mind and body. I became more focused which gave me motivation to stick to it, as well as being more flexible to get a good workout. Plus it took off the stress that I overloaded on with work and home. It also helped me out when I was feeling blue. When you mind doesn't want to function properly, it can effect your body as well. It needs exercise like the rest of you.

Hi A., I am sorry to here you are having a hard time. I too have struggled with weight loss in the past. My husband and I have been on a low carb plan for 5 years now. He lost almost 60lbs in about 6 months and has maintained that for 5 years now. I lost aprox. 35lbs in the same amout of time. I have had 2 children sence them and of course my weight has flucuated alot. I am back on track now and Have lost 10 lbs so far. There is a good book out there that we follow called: The Protein Power Lifeplan By Dr.Eades He also has a website about low carb that my husband visits everyday. Everone I know that Has been on this plan has lost alot of weight. My sister was a vegitarin for over 20 years and always strugled with weight. She is now been doing low carb and has lost alot of weight. Her energy level is much better and she says she feels healither. I have not master the excercise yet so I have no advise on that. I do belive on the power of postive thinking though. Thought is so powerful. Good luck in your journey and enjoy the rewards of weight loss.
