Any suggestions on a wonderful (idealy Christian) marriage/family counselor (preferably that takes insurance) in the NW Houston area would be greatly appreciated!

Another person is Robin Fairchild. She is a counselor. Her number is ###-###-####. She is located just off Woodlands Parkway near I-45.

Hope this helps.

My best suggestion for Christian counseling is for the wife of the marriage to read "Created to be His Helpmeet." Sure...the man usually has his own problems (and could be the whole problem), but I can't help there. When I was 1 day from filing for divorce 3-4 years ago, a friend recommended this book. It saved our marriage and changed my life. The change wasn't overnight in my husband, but it was overnight in me. And that made all the difference. Anyone would have said that I was NOT the problem in the marriage, but that doesn't matter. What matters is getting your own heart and your own life right in line with God's will, then everything else will fall into place. Once I started living for the joy of the Lord, and to please Him (instead of myself or even my husband, but for God alone), then life suddenly had purpose. And my own happiness was no longer the main focus of my life...but it came about. I was finally happy. I can't say enough about it. There are a lot of people out there who think it's a total crock. But I can testify for what God can do in your marriage through the ideas/ideals in this book.

I know this isn't what you were looking for, but I would swear that the things this book says would be better than counseling. But that's just my advice for the day. I wish (or whoever the recommendation was for) the very best. Marriage struggles are the pits!!! I truly believe that full devotion to living your marriage for the Lord is the only true cure. And I believe that's what you're/they're looking for, since you wanted a Christian counselor. I hope you/they find the help you/they need.

Blessings from Him,
C.
