Hi Moms.

My anniversary and Mother's Day are on the same weekend. Any ideas on what to do as a family? I was thinking of Monterey Bay Aquarium, Santa Cruz?

Appreciate it! Thank you!

What can I do next?

That sounds wonderful. Fun for the whole family.
I like the idea of the Santa Cruz boardwalk too because you're outdoors, get to walk around and there's something for everyone especially kids. :)
Have fun and happy anniversary.
You could San Francisco Pier 39, lunch somewhere, the Golden Gate Park.
Lake Tahoe (beautiful outdoors and you get to shop, ride bikes around the lake etc.

Assuming that you are talking about celebrating two events that are for you... it sounds like what you have suggested is something you'd enjoy, so why not just let the family know that's what you want?
If there are other Moms involved (your Mom, your husband's Mom, etc) then you may want to consult with them and be sure the activity chosen pleases all of you.

First of all, tell your hubby to get up with the kids and let you sleep in!! Then ask your kids (not sure of their ages) to plan a picnic for the family. Let them pack all the food (if they are old enough) then go to a park and let them play and you and your hubby just sit and relax!

Another idea if it's not nice out would be family movie day.

I'd try to keep the day as low key and relaxing for you as possible!

Lunch and/or dinner out is another good idea!

What about bowling? Or visiting a Science Center or Zoo? Museum?
