Hi, before I go out tomorrow and gather info I thought I'd ask here first since it is sunday night and can't get any information at this moment, anywho, I live in CA , moved here from AZ, in arizona I was a substitute teacher for a while, was thinking about going back to doing that but don't know what the requirements are in CA to sub, does anybody know? Like for instance , in Arizona, where I lived, I had to have college credits and of course the general english and math, etc college courses in order to sub. Was wondering what are some requirements here in CA. Thanks

What can I do next?

Subbing (not subing) in CA...
A college (BA or BS) degree and you must pass the "CBEST" exam, you can look it up on line, it's offered frequently and it's not hard to pass.
I'm pretty sure you can look up specifics re district requirements online. Some districts require more than others.

Cali has a zillion school districts. I suggest you go to three and put in applications. Unfortunately, Cali also seems to play to the pleasantries of illegals who cannot speak English, so if you are solely an English speaker--Arizona is a much friendlier place for real Americans.
