I love my peg pergo - aria double stroller. It's side by side and extremely light weight. It's so easy to collapse and take in and out of the car (even with 1 hand). Even though it's expensive, it's well worth it. I've had the big bulky double strollers and finally got it right with this one. It fits through the doorways great.
good luck

Don't get a side by side double stroller you can't fit through doors or asiles or put a carseat in them. The only I have now is the 3rd stroller I have gotten since my daughter was born 17 months ago. I tried the evenflo tandeum, its so cheap, you pay for what you get the wheels wobble when there is any type of weight on it. Then I got the jeep wagoneer tandeum double stroller, its huge and very heavy. You shouldn't have to feel like you are really pushing a stroller with all your weight and I got rid of it before my daughter was 6mos old and my son was 2 1/2, I couldn't even imagine pushing it when both my kids weighed over 20lbs. I now have the graco quatro tour duo glider-its the best. You can put carseats in both seats, it has snack and cup trays for both seats w/a bar that you switch out if you use a carseat in the front. Its very easy to push. It folds up 20% more compact than the regular graco duo glider. The front seat holds up to 50lbs and the back up to 40lbs. I can't say enough good stuff about this stroller. They sell for a little over $200 new, but you can get it at craigslist.org, other mothers and other second hand stores for less

J., as a mother of 5, I have had every kind of stroller out there. I have found the side by side strollers are much, did I say MUCH, better and easier to maneuver around. The width does make it a little harder to get through doors, but they do fit. The front and back strollers made me feel like I had to really work at it to get it to turn especially if your second child is bigger. Good luck.

I have the Graco Quattro Duo Tour something stroller. There are so many names but I know its not the glider. It's bigger since I have twins so I can get both carseats on it...I love it!

I have a Tike Tech Trax 360 for my 3 1/2 y.o and 8 mo old and absolutely love it. It's a bit spendy ($300-400 range) but it's versatility makes it worth it. It's great for jogging or strolling the neighborhood or taking a walk in the mall. Its front wheel can lock straight or swivel and it has ample room for the older child. Check it out online at www.mystrollers.com. Best wishes and Congrats on #3! R.

I loved my Peg Prego double stroller ( front/back). Got at at Babies R US. It was very easy to manuver. Those side by sides just don't fit through isles of stores and are tough through doorways.

I had a Graco Duo Glide that I liked when I had my son and was babysitting another small child. It was not terribly heavy or difficult to get in and out of the car. I lent it to friends who have been using it for the past year and a half and they love it.

Phil and Ted's excellent Stroller. it is modular so when your older one no longer needs the stroller you can go back to the single. It is also all terrain.

Hi J.,

I purchased the Graco Quattro Tour Duo Stroller in 'French Roast' while I was pregnant with our son. He is now 9 months and even though my 3 yr old daughter would rather walk, she sits comfortably in the stroller. It is the style where one sits in front and the other in back. I have noticed these are a lot easier to get around in becasue the ones that have side by side are very wide, and hard to get through standard doorways. This makes public outings a little more difficult (or so I have noticed). I'm not sure if you have a BabiesRUs near you, but that is where we went and tested out the double strollers before we made a decision. Its great because you can actually mess with them and fold them down and just see how well they will work for you and your overall needs before you spend money on one. I hope this helps! (Also www.craigslist.com) is a great place to look. Always make sure that the stroller you are planning to buy if it is used is not more than a couple of years old, and has no product recalls. =) Good Luck....and once you get your double stroller I know you will be glad you got it!!

Hi J. -

I am a mommy of 13 month old twin boys and while I absolutely hated the tandem ones, I LOVE my Zooper! You can find them on strollerdepot.com. And PS - YES, you can fit it through doorways and aisles!

I have a sit-n-stand plus and I love it! There are several places that sell them but they are all about $160. This is not where I got mine, but it can get you the info.

We just took the back seat off for m y3 year old and my 1 yr old is still in the front. It was great with an infant because the kids faced each other and I sould see my baby.

My oldest took care of slipping blankets and falling pacifiers and toys and snacks.

Now we can even get 3 kids on it. 1 in the front seat, one on the jump seat sitting forward and another standing on the back! it is great for trips to the park with a friend or to hold a large diaperbag or backpack.

Good luck! and happy mothering.

Hi J.,

We have the combi side by side double that we love. It is very easy to manuever through shopping centers and is nice and light to push when going on walks. I love the side by side because the kids can see eachother and mine usally enjoy that. I had a long double by graco that I hated. I couldn't push it with one hand if necesary and it seemed so heavy. The only problem with the Combi is that there is a severe lack of storage under the stroller.

Joovy Caboose is a really good one. It's a little large when stored, but small and short when in use so you can manuver around things easier. They're about $200 new but you can find them on Craigslist for a lot less.

We have the Phil & Teds Sport Buggy, and we love it! The various seating configurations make it extremely versatile, and it's so easy to steer and maneuver through doorways due to its narrow front/back design. I'd highly recommend it! There's more information on the website: http://philandteds.com.

Good luck!
