WE will be adding baby # 2 to our family soon. Our daughter will be 18 months old when the new addition arrives. I will need a double stroller. I was thinking about the graco double stroller, so our graco infant seat will sanp in to the stroller, but our graco single stroller is not holding up very well.. So I dont know if I want to invest the money in a graco double stroller. Does anyone have advice on a good double stroller? One that holds up well and is easy to use...

What can I do next?

I also recommend the Graco Sit N Stand. It worked great for us. I also think that you won't use the double stroller as much as you think. I used it mostly for trips to the zoo and to the mall, long ones. So, I wouldn't go and buy a really expensive stroller. The older child is going to want to walk more and more as they get older.

I have a 3 month old and a 2 1/2 year old. I just recently bought the Sit N' Stand Delux stroller by Baby Trend. We absolutely love it. It is really easy to steer. It comes with an attachment for the infant car seat. My son hates riding in a normal stroller. With this one he loves to get on the back and stand so that he can see his sister. Again, we really love this stroller, I would tell anybody with a toddler and an infant to get it. It was very expensive. I got mine at TinyRide.com and it was $135.00 they don't charge tax or shipping.

Hi Lisa,

My daughter was just over 2 when we had our second daughter. I didn't buy a stroller that could attach a carseat but my daughter was able to sit up in it at 5 months old. I bought the sit and stand (Baby Trend Sit and Stand Deluxe) so that my toddler could sit or stand in the back. My two year old was very tall for her age so I needed a bigger stroller. If your 18 month old is smaller, you can get away with the double seat strollers. Watch our for weight limits on the strollers and also watch out for how much the stroller itself weighs. Mine is very easy to fold and is about 25 pounds, which isn't bad and it only cost about $170.00.
Hope this helped a little.

Hello, I have two young children and I purchased the Eddie Bauer double stroller. It doesn't hold a carseat but it reclines enough in the back that it's not nessesary, you can find it at Target.

Every brand has a cheap end of things that sometimes doesn't hold up well. I loved my Graco Quattro stroller that I got when my son was born. i will be buying a duo glider with this next one so we can snap in the car seat and it has the same sturdy build as my quattro did. Good thing to do is go into stores and yank, push and pull on things before you buy them to make sure they are sturdy. Pay the extra $$ if you have to especially if it is built better. The money you save won't be worth the frustration down the road when it breaks down.
Good luck!

Hello Lisa,

I purchased my double stroller at www.onestepahead.com a few years ago and I LOVE it! It has been great for me. Easy to push, fold up, and change the sits around. One seat changes to a bassinet while the other can face front or back. It was the best investment I ever made.. I hope to use it until my kids won't want to sit in it anyomre! :) It also has a nice big storage basket underneath the seats that is easy to get to.. Good Luck.. Its definitly worth researching.. ~Marcia

I'm due with my 3rd in a couple of weeks. All my Kids are 2.5yrs apart, but my sisters kids are 16months apart. She used out double stroller (it just didn't work for us) Her daughter is very active so it wasn't long before she didn't want anything to do with the double stoller.

Instead We both went out and got the Baby Trend Sit and Stand Strollers. The front Stroller seat holds all brands of Infant seats, and in the rear there is a bench seat with seat belt, and a little platform that the older sibling can stand on with a safety belt.

This has worked wonderfully for my Sister, and for Myself.

I have the Graco duo glider also and love it! It is really easy to use just like the Graco quatro. My son is almost 3 and my daughter 9 months, so I haven't had it for too long, but so far I love it and it has been great! Good luck!

I can't speak to double strollers specifically - the one we bought was an all-terrain so it didn't work for the malls very well. I do share your concern about Graco however. Our first single stroller was a Graco and the most expensive one at the time. We only used it for the malls and sidewalk walks so we don't feel that we were h*** o* it at all, but the main support bar broke and when we called the company, we were told that part wasn't replaceable - sorry. We also had poor service with our Graco high chair. Now when we shop for new children's products, we avoid Graco at all costs because they don't stand behind their products.

Hi Lisa-My kids are 14months apart and I used and loved the Graco duo glider. It has held up quite well over the last 4yrs. It was very easy to maneuver and easy to fold up. It can be a little heavy but I think that most double strollers are heavy. Best of luck to you.

I have been using the Evenflo Take me Too for 7 months. It is working very well. The back seat with hold and infant seat of any brand, which is great if you have a Graco! I use it a lot as my girls are only 14 months apart and I haven't had any problems. It isn't that expensive either. I believe we got ours at Wal-mart. Good luck to you.

Depending on how much you feel your current stroller needs to be replaced, you might consider getting a standing board that attaches to the back of a single stroller. My son was walking almost everywhere by the time he was 18 months. And you might find that you don't use a double stroller as much as you assume. Or, if you're worried about your daughter running off if she's allowed to walk on her own, you might consider a toddler harness. I always used to frown aupon the "leashes," before we tried one. Our son was so independant that he didn't really care to even hold our hands when he walked. So, we got one to give him his independant feeling, without risking his safety.

All of that said, if you still feel a double stroller if the way to go, I'd probably stick with Graco, so you can use the infant carrier. If you choose a model that seems a bit heavier duty than the current one, it will hopefully hold up a bit better for you.

I don't know the name of it, but I think it was a european brand (probably really expensive). Anyway, I saw this great stroller at the zoo last year, it was triangle shaped and it was kind of a double decker model. So, you get the benefit of the double stroller, without being double wide or long. That is what I would get if I needed a double. We are expecting number 2, but my son is 3 so I don't plan to get a double stroller. My Eddie Bauer stroller has held up great though.

I had twins in June and my mother in law got me a double stroller that I couldn't live without. It's a Combi, it's a side by side one but fits through normal doorways and folds up smaller than a single stroller. It's the best stroller ever and I don't know how I would live without it. She got it at Babies R Us, it's a little price but it's totaly worth it. It holds up to 90lbs and is a lot easier to move around then the ones that are front and back. I love it, it's great!!

I have a Graco double stroller. I bought it about 2 and a half years ago. My kids weigh 35 and 49 pounds togeather and it still works great. I did have one of the trays on the front seat break, I called Graco and they sent me a new one. If that is the carseat that you have, i reccomend sticking with Graco.
