Strech Mark O Baby?

I just had my son one month ago today! But what I thought was a rash on his butt I've noticed now isn't to my thinking, it looks more like very fresh strech marks that are red and he crys out when I clean him with wipes.(Not saying the wipes couldn't be cold either) I have been putting a&d ointment/neosporin on it and it for a few days but it doesn't look any different. He doesn't seem to be bothered by it, and eats just fine still. Any ideas what it could be?

What can I do next?

Did he have a large hard poop that could have stretched his poor bottom? That's the only thing I can think of. You can also use Aquaphor as a barrier from the moisture. I would get him into the doctor to figure out exactly what is today so you don't have to go to urgent care or ER over the weekend if it doesn't improve. Good luck.

get some arbonne diaper rash ointment and take him to doc sounds like a yeast infection. Babies just get these Mine kept getting them till I got good answers in here. had to pull him off juice.

maybe he has a poop for a long time there until you clean him up my baby because when i left my baby boy with poop for long time(5 min-10 min) he has rash and then like as you say a stretch mark very painful i just put some balmex diaper rash cream is the only that cures my little baby bottom

I was thinking it might be like a crease mark - since I pictured it more on the "cheek" area. Are his diapers too tight on his bottom or does his skin fold together there when he lies or sits a certain way?

My daughter got a red streak on her neck under her chin simply because the area didn't get enough air exposure. Doc said just to put a little vaseline on there to ease the chapping.

If he doesn't seem bothered by it, could it be a birthmark?

Yeast is probably correct. Anti-yeast creams for diaper rash are likely available over the counter. However, you need a more long-term fix for this. Because your son is so young, you would need to check on this, but he needs something to restore the good bacteria in his intestinal tract. As I mentioned in another post today, health food stores have Primadophilus for children. It is in capsule form and could be mixed with formula or breast milk in a bottle. Don't know what the dosage would be, so you should check the label. However, it is not a drug; it's the natural bacteria that occurs in our intestinal tracts.

If he's crying, I would really recommend calling the pediatrician. It's possible it's something like an anal fissure that is very painful and very hard to treat.
