I had my last period February 26th. I left for basic March 4th and ended up stopping my birth control pills to get on the Nexplanon april 3rd I think. I got out of basic due to an injury on June 12. And i had protected sex the end of June. Condom and my nexplanon. Then end of July like the 21st, I had sex again with just my nexplanon. Ever since then I have not been feeling good. I get nauseous at weird times sometimes it will last for days. My lower stomach cramps and it hurts bad. My breast feel tender and sometimes they hurt to be touched or even wear a bra. I think I have gotten bloated but it's a constant feeling. I dont know if it's just me but it looks like my stomach has gotten a little bigger. I took a pregnancy test the weekend I last had sex that was the end of July. They both came back negative. But I am still feeling weird and sick all the time. I did get the nexplanon removed like 2 weeks ago...

What can I do next?

To me it sounds like you are either adjusting to the hormones, or it's not the right method for you. It can take 3 -6 cycles to see if it's a good fit (that's how they used to explain it to me) and I went through a lot of trials before settling on birth control in my 20's. It was the same for my friends. I sometimes was bloated, gained weight, felt sick, tender boobs, bad skin, you name it.

I would go and get tested just to put your mind at ease, and keep a log of your symptoms and your period. Some people keep track of when they have sex too.

When I was pregnant, my breasts were veiny. I don't remember so sore I couldn't wear a bra. My morning sickness (with one child) was consistent and not here and there. I didn't feel very bloated and my back didn't hurt (not until I had quite a belly). I'm very small, and even so my stomach didn't really pop until quite far along. I remember hoping it would. So I can't relate to what you're describing - that reminds me more of feeling hormonal.

If you just had it removed, remember, now your body is adjusting all over again. Hormones don't just affect your reproductive organs, but also your brain (they can give some women migraines, even the kind without headaches, which can leave some women nauseous etc.).

Good luck :)

Why don't you just go to the doctor (or Planned Parenthood) and get tested? And if you got your BC removed two weeks ago why didn't you get tested then?

So you are no longer in the military, is that what you are saying? So you can't go to the dispensary and get checked out?

You need to go to a doctor and have blood work done. It's as simple as that.

You should have a blood test for pregnancy. Speak to your ob/gyn about your symptoms, or visit a Planned Parenthood, if you don't have insurance coverage. Birth control pills CAN and DO fail. It could even just be a delayed period, that is why you need to visit a qualified doctor so they can determine what is causing your symptoms, we cannot give you advice.

You really need to see the OB/GYN who put in and took out your nexplanon.

NO one here can tell you what is going on with your body. We can all guess, but that's all it is, guessing. GO TO THE DOCTOR

The first pill brand I tried worked fine for preventing pregnancy however I had wild mood swings and it just wasn't a side effect that I could live with.
I talked to my doctor - she knew all about it (some women react to it just like I did) - and I tried a different pill - and that was a perfect fit for me.

I think that perhaps this method is not a good fit for you.
Go talk to your doctor and try something else.
Eventually you will find a good fit where the side effects are not so bad for you.
In the mean time - keep using condoms.

Welcome to mamapedia. Now go to a doctor and get checked out. Have blood drawn and find out what is going on with your body.

A group of strangers on the internet won't be able to tell you if you're pregnant or not.

Go to the Dollar Store and buy a pregnancy test. Use it. If it's negative and you still feel "off" go to your OB/GYN and tell them what is going on and get blood work done.

This could be anything from pregnancy, to just body adjusting to nexplanon in and out or body awaiting it’s period. Even heavy exercising could do weird things to the body if it’s not used to the heavy dosage.

You know your body best.. compare this to your typical period, did you change your diet, added heavier physical activities, changes in sex and “how” ...etc.. and you can always get another prego test.

Good luck!

I don't know why people have to be rude when answering a question whether it is a good question or not... the appropriate answer here is:
If you feel off I would go to the doctor-it is better to be safe than sorry. Good luck!!!! Whenever I feel like something could be off or wrong I always go get it checked out :)
