hello everyone 1st of all I wanna thank everyone that have responded to me in the pass especially Rebecca. I am now stable and getting back on my feet slowly but surly. My question today is that I have a friend that has complained about his stomach hurting really bad after he eats late at night so bad that he cant even sleep...he just gets this pain no other symtoms with it so its not heartburn. what else could it be and what can he take to get some relieve. he has tried alcazelsers which help a little but not much. does anyone else have this problem? he wks late thats why he eats late.

What can I do next?

It could be diverticulitis or Chrohn's disease or something. He needs to go to a doc.

I agree with Kristin. Have had two friends that very recently went through the very same thing. One had to have her gall bladder removed and the other one had an ulcer. A trip to the doctor is definitely in order. You might tell him to try Pepcid AC which my friend the ulcer uses and gets tremendous relief. I would still suggest a doctor's visit even if that helps because ulcers can bleed and become even more troublesome.

The symptoms you are describing are the exact same thing I experienced. It really sounds like Gall bladder. He may have gall stones and need his gall bladder taken out. I would suggest seeing a doctor about it and mentioning the gall stones. I went 3 years in pain with this because no doctor would believe me until one day a found a doctor who would do a sono on me and found the stones. So make sure he insists on a sonogram, it is the only way to see them.

Yep, he needs to see a dr. A friend of mine was just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He too was having digestion issues and back pain. If never hurts to go get looked at. Best of luck.

You might want to check into the symptoms for IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). My sister was diagnosed with this a couple of years ago and it sounds like he has one of the tell-tale symptoms.

Sounds like a gall bladder problem to me. I would tell your friend to make an appointment with a GI doctor quickly!
