So What Happened?

The pain comes and go, more so when i press on the painful area. I do lift my son alot so that is prob what it is. i know im not pregnant because i took a preg test 2 weeks ago and i am not dating anyone or doing anything and havent for 5 months so it cannot be that. it is prob a hernia.unfortunately i have no car right now and the only transportation i have is my sis, and she is a spoiled brat and argues with me every time i ask her to go anywhere. so i hate asking her for a ride so i will just have to wait, i am getting a car next month i think so i will go asap! thanks for all the advice

Tiffany, go to your regular doctor and your OB, and do it in the next week. You could have an ectopic pregnancy (the fertalized egg lodges in your fallopian tubes) and if that's the case you need to do something quickly. If it's not that then it may be something else yucky. That kind of pain is generally a good indicator of something important. If you can't get a quick appointment try to get one of them on the phone, or at least a nurse, and tell them what's going on. Good luck! I'll be praying for you!

My 5 year old has been complaining about the same thing. We went to the doctor and went through a bunch of tests. Complete blood work up, x-rays, upper GI, lactose free diet, the works. Turns out she had poo compacted in her colon. She was going poo poo, but apparently not enough. The doctor suggested fiber. I got the stuff you mix in their food or drink that dissolves completely (name escapes me atm) and since then she has been going every day and no more stomach problems. She complained for several months about her stomach, and it took us a couple of months to nail down the promblem, but it is fixed now. GL with your little guy.

Have you taken a pregnancy test? During my second pregnancy I had what I could only describe as "bellybutton" pain, a sharp pain centered right around my bellybutton. When I googled it, I found that it can be a normal occurrence during pregnancy.
Good Luck.

It could be a hernia. Definetly check with your dr. I've know some people that have had hernia's and that's right around where they hurt. Good Luck honey let us know when u go and that you're ok:)

I had pains like that once too, I found out I was pregnant. The pain was so bad I finally went to the doctor and they done an ultrasound on me. They thought at first it was a tubal pregnancy. You can't always go by those over the counter test because they don't always work. And you can't even be sure a tubal litagation will work either because I got pregnant after one of those too.

I have that too, my daughter is 2yrs and I went to the reg doc and it turned out to be a hernia, from lifting incorrectly my daughter. I didn;t have anything done, he said if the pain becomes severe then I would need surgery to repair it. I am uninsured so I'm trying to be careful to avoid that!

If the pain continues I would call either your obgyn or doctor and talk to a nurse. They should be able to advise you on where to go. You can also try a website like webmd or ivillage to get a better idea of what it might be.
