So I have been dealing with these problems since I was 13 and every doctor I have gone to can't find anything wrong. I have a constant stomach ache which gets worse when I eat, no matter what I eat. I get like a dizzy feeling and I feel like I'm going to pass out and it messes with my vision and balance, and I deal with rectal bleeding and fissures pretty much on a daily bases. I'm always tired and feel like I can never catch up on sleep. I dont go to the "bathroom" on a daily bases and sometimes I will go 2-3 weeks without a bowel movement but when I do I have to go now and its always loose. When I do have a bowel movement I get light headed and dizzy afterwords. I have had blood work and upper and lower gi's done in the past and nothing. I have a family history of prostate cancer and esophagus problems. I'm at my wits end with this and dont know what else to do but I cant live the rest of my life this way!

Try adding a 500mg magnesium tablet and a glass of water before you go to bed. It's a miracle mineral for keeping you regular.
I suggest you have a colonoscopy so they can see whats going on in there. It sounds like diverticulitis to me, but I'm not a doc.

Well im guessing the constipation is why your stomach hurts all the time. Have you ever had a colonoscopy? If not, I would ask for a referral. Celiacs could be the culprit too. If you get an upper endoscopy, your doc can tell you if you flattened villi or not. If you do, there is a very good chance you could have gluten sensitivity/intolerance.

I agree with many of the other posts, you should look into Celiac testing. Also, consider contacting a food allergist. They can help you determine if you are allergic / intolerant to other types of foods. Based on what you are describing, I would bet your body is intolerant to at least some of the foods you normally eat.

Because your symptoms are so severe, I would not suggest making any major dietary changes on your own. However, eliminating just bread and gluten products is a place you can start without making a major life change.

If you have any questions about food intolerances or gluten-specific questions, please send me a private message. I'm happy to help in any way I can.

I hope you are feeling better soon.

Have you ever been tested for Celiac. Not just a blood test, but a gut biopsy test? Blood tests for celiac are not always accurate. My sister had many of these symptoms for 5 years, before they finally found she has celiac. Try cutting out all wheat and gluten, and see if that helps. Also, take probiotics to help build up the good stuff your gut is supposed to have. I'm sorry you feel so terrible...I hope it gets better.

You may want to ask your doctor about Celiac disease. This is incredibly difficult to diagnose but is relatively easy to treat.

Since you ave tried the typica/regular doctors, you might look into a naturalpathic type doc. You are on the west side of the state and it would be quite a drive to Grosse Pointe but....there is a group of chiropractor/cinical nutritionists there who get amazing results through proper nutrition, whole food supplements and chiropractics. Sometimes just one little thing missing in your diet OR something in your diet that is totally wong for you can cause all kinds of chaos. Those symptoms do not sound like "nothing" to me! Holy Toledo! Their website is
www.ahccenter.com It COULD chang your life! All the best to you and keep all us mamas posted on yoour progress!

Have you been tested for celiac disease? If not, you might want to try cutting any wheat products from your diet, it is also in barley products. You might also have a dairy allergy. You could try cutting that out of your diet as well. (do one first then the other so you're sure which thing is a problem)

If you choose to cut stuff out, be sure you're reading all the labels, even for cross contamination stuff like "made in a plant that uses wheat/dairy". Don't just eat less of those things, cut them out completely and see if you have any relief.

Also look at your diet, no matter what you do. Do you eat out a lot, what about refined foods (white pasta, flour, bread, rice, stuff in a box or can). If you're eating a lot of these foods you're not getting enough fiber. A fiber supplement is helpful, but switching to whole grains and unprocessed foods will really help, especially with your family history. With intestinal cancers a plant based diet makes a big difference in prevention and also during treatment. If you choose to include meat and dairy in a plant based diet, keep it to the minimum, use as a seasoning, not as a large chunk of your meal.

Best wishes, I hope you can find some relief!

I had this issue. I would have normal Bm's then all of a sudden out of no where...yikes, bathroom city. I was tested for Celiac...sure enough I have it.

Not saying that this is your issue, but it is worth mentioning or even going to see a nutritionist. You normally can see then without referrals and they take insurance.

Good luck! I know how horrible the feeling can be!!

Probiotices might help while you're trying to figure it out. If the doctors can't find something, maybe a homeopathic doctor could help? Best wishes

Have you had an upper and/or lower GI? I realize you said no matter what you eat, but I would suggest staying away from dairy products, spicy food, and red meat.

I'm not a doctor but do have a health and wellness business and I've consulted with many people who mimic your issues.

It could be Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

I strongly suggest getting the upper and lower GI and doing this much sooner than later.

Here are some other things I suggest that you may or may not know: eat slowly-putting the utensil down in between bites, don't eat 2-3 hours before bed time (food does not digest well laying down), take fiber (drinking 8 ounces when you take fiber so it doesn't bind you up). Be selective about the fiber supplement.

Many blessings to you.
