Still Looking for Feedback on Schools...

I live in Auburn, which is next to Dacula. I can help you a bit. I do surveys in new subdivisions (I note the progress each quarter.) in Dacula. Anyway, the Dacula schools are good schools, especially the Mill Creek schools from what I hear. The VP and a teacher at Dacula Elementary go to our church in Winder....I know them, but can't really tell you too much about the school itself.

If you were to live in Apalachee Station, you would be zoned for Dacula schools (elementary, middle and high school). Some areas in Hamilton Mill, depending on where you are at will have Dacula schools or Mill Creek schools.

I have kids at Dacula Elem. I absolutely love that school. I have one in the 3rd grade there. I also love Harbins Elem. I have one in Special Ed. there. He is now in 4th grade and has been there since kindergarten. I have a 7th grader at Dacula Middle and a 10th grader at Dacula High. I don't care so much for the middle school, but things have been ok at the High School. Good communication with the teachers.

If you're interested in looking at test scores and school rankings, you can go to http://www.schooldigger.com. The schools are ranked by CRCT scores and there is also information on total number of students, student:faculty ratios, and % of kids receiving free lunch. If you click on the school, it will give you more information (and sometimes comments by parents about the school).

The Hamilton Mill neighborhood is in the Mill Creek cluster. All of Hamilton Mill will be going to a new elementary school next fall, Puckett's Mill Elem. Their middle school is Osborne and the high school is Mill Creek High.
Appalachee feeds into the Dacula cluster: Dacula elem., Dacula Middle, and Dacula High.
