Is there any one who stays at home with their kids in Parma that would like to get together for play dates? Especially with winter coming it would be nice to get out of the house.

What can I do next?

Hi C.!!

I do not live in Parma, however, I do suggest maybe joining a mom's group to meet other stay at home mom's in the area. I moved to the Cleveland area 1 yr ago and I decided to join the Preschool Mother's Club in Brecksville - however, it isn't for just Brecksville/Broadview Hts families. There are families that live in Bath, Parma, Seven Hills, Rocky River, etc. that participate in the group. It has been a great way for me to meet new people and learn more about the community, etc. There are playgroups that you can get involved in and field trips that are scheduled for the group as well as meetings and outings. The website for the group is www.preschoolmothersclub.com.

If you have any other questions, please let me know. I would be more than willing to get together - however, for me, I wouldn't be able to participate in anything until about February. I am expecting our 3rd child in the next month.

Good Luck!
K.

since you are already online, if you go to www.meetup.com you can find tons of cleveland/parma area moms who, as the slogan says, "use the internet to get OFF the internet!" good luck, A.

You never said how old your kids were or how many you have. I have 2, my daughter is almost 3 and my son is 4months. I live near the 77/480 split if you would be up for taking turns where we play..

Hi C.!
Join an Early Childhood PTA! I don't believe that Parma has one specifically, but I am the Membership Chair for Lakewood's. We have over 230 families from Lakewood and the surrounding communities (there is no residency requirement). You can join a weekly playgroup with kids your own children's ages, plus participate in discounted field trips and tours. There are free monthly children's parties at the elementary schools and we have adult nights out and a book club. Check out the website at LECPTA.com.
