I am seeking for solutions to getting out stains from the laundry. My son has a habit of putting things in his pockets. i do empty them out before i wash. a red crayon was missed.. i am assuming the damage was done in dryer. now we have marks on all of our clothes. and inside the dryer. does anyone know how to get off of dryer and all of our clothes... thanks... also for blue pen marks. HELP... All solutions welcomed... smile.

I used Shout with Resolve for blue ink and it worked good, had to use it a couple of washes but the ink came out. I have heard of people using the WD-40, and De-Sol-It works wonders on crayon marks on the wall so using on the wash might work.

This happened to me - I was able to get most of the stains out of the clothes by scrubbing them with Goo Gone and then dish soap. I had to wash them and repeat the process a few times.

Not sure on the crayon- try googling it and you should find something... For ink stains I use aerosol hairspray. Not great for the environment, but it works!!

As someone already suggested WD-40....
My granddaughter left a purple and red crayon in her pocket and of course it got washed and dried in her clothes. Mom brought me the whole load, I sprayed them with WD-40 worked it in a little, along with some laundry soap and the washed them a few times. EVERYTHING came out, not even a hint of crayon left. Had to wash them several times to get rid of the smell. I'd use the WD-40 in the dryer too. Spray some on paper towel and then wash off well.....

Good luck!!

de solv it solvent, This is the best stuff. I can get grease out lipstick. Even after I have wash it item and put it in the dryer it will still get the stain out. Just make sure that you close the lid to close or it will evaporate. Good luck

Check out Talking Dirty Laundry with the Queen of Clean. I believe that WD-40 takes out crayons in the dryer and on clothes.

I commiserate. (did I use that word right?). my son is only six months and does not have a habit of putting things in his pockets, but my husband never takes the pens out of his shirt pockets or lab coats and sometimes I forget to check! I have no advice but I'm curious to see your responses to see if something other than bleach will work.

try the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers (on the washer and dryer)! I really like those things, I use them alot. As for the clothes, I like liquid SHOUT. I use it on my 10mos old daughters clothes to get the stains out all the time.

My son did the same thing with a red crayon. I always use Fels Naptha for stain removal. Not sure how to use this bar on the whole load of wash, I "shaved" part of the Fels Naptha bar into the washer along with the usual laundry soap. Took a couple washings, but it came out beautifully! I love Fels Naptha!

I don't know about the marks on the clothes, but the marks on the inside of your dryer may come off with a Mr Clean Magic Eraser.

OK...for the blue pen I would use hairspray...just spray and dab a few times and rinse and repeat if you need to. I use charlies soap for other things. You can find it at www.charliesoap.com. I use the powder detergent (you don't need any dryer sheets with it) and I use the all purpose cleaner for spot cleaning laundry. I use the all purpose for pretty much everything. I would try a magic eraser in the dryer, but try a small area first. I have never tried it before, and I am not sure if it could damage the finish. Good Luck!
