Hey ladies. I know that I have seen this question asked before, but I can not for the life of me remember what some of the solutions were.
I have glass shower enclosure that I can not get the soap scum off. I didn't have this problem until a few years ago when I used the stuff that is suppose to help you keep your shower clean.
I have use just about everything from abrasive cleansers to 0000 steel wool (which by the way works wonders on mirrors if they get hazy and window cleaners don't work.
Please help me before I fume myself to death with all the different chemicals on the market.
Arm and Hammer Scrub Free OXY in the yellow container.
It did the trick for me. Now I keep the scum off with the Scrubbing Bubbles thingy and it works great once you get the shower clean.

As simple as this sounds, I have found that just using 409 gets the soap scum off with no problem. I let it sit a few minutes if it is heavy scum. 409 does leave a film, so I follow up with windex to make it sparkle. Fast and easy.
lemon juice or white vinger will usually cut shower scum. lemon juice and salt is a great abrasive cleanser
CLR works great. You can find it a Walmart. Funny that the Shower Clean spray caused you this problem . . . I use it in my shower every day, along with a shower squeegee. I've never had a soap scum issue (over 4 years now).
You don't have to use all those crazy chemicals. I have been using a natural product that makes the soap scum slide right off your doors. It is wonderful! It is called Tub n Tile and they have all sorts of other cleaners too that are safe to have in your home. I am afraid I do not have a solution to get rid of the soap scum for good. However I used to work as a housekeeper long ago and what we did was use furniture oil to "polish" the glass. It would last about a week. So we just did it as part of the bathroom cleaning everytime we cleaned the tubs.
The only thing I have ever found to work is the Magic Eraser. Be careful not to let kids get a hold of it. It has chemicals in it that can burn; but it sure works on soap scum. I've heard WD-40 works too, but I have not tried that out personally.
I agree a dryer sheet works great and you don't have to worry about the fumes. Just make sure that you rinse it really well after. Have a great holiday!
T., pure vinegar will do the trick(the cheap stuff) I have used it in several apartment building I lived in before moving into my house.

I have used 1/2 water and 1/2 vinegar solution.
I have tried a lot of different cleaners to get the soap scum off and the one that I found that works like magic is Kaboom. You just spray it on, leave it for 2-3 minutes and rinse it off. I was amazed at how well it worked and with no scrubbing. Good luck!
Shaklee's scour off is your answer. It ABSOLUTLY WILL CLEAN YOUR SOAP SCUM.
I took some to my skeptical daughter over Thanksgiving and she and her husband were blown away by how easy it took off the scum.
AND it smells like bubblegum.
It is a non-toxic paste.

We use the Arm & Hammer Shower Clean after every shower. We don't have to sqweegie or anything. The glass is so nice and clear.
It's in a yellow spray bottle. Works like a charm!!!
Kaboom works great on soap scum!! Just spray it on, let it sit 3-4 minutes and rinse off. When I let the shower get pretty bad I spray it on, rub (not scrub) with a texured sponge, let it sit and rinse off. We used to squegee after every shower, but after discovering the Kaboom we don't bother with that anymore!!
buy a can of ez off oven cleaner it will clean the glass very well we use to use it with the company i worked for when i cleaned house
I use a Bounce sheet or another dryer sheet to get off the soap scum. Then I squeegee down the glass. Works like a dream.
Pour household salt on a half of lemon. The salt is the abrasive that won't scratch your glass and the lemon cuts the scum and deodorizes. How cheap is that?!?!?!

The last one out of the shower around here runs the squeegee on the glass and wipes down the entire shower. That helps a LOT.
For the stubborn soap scum, I like the magie eraser, tilex soap scum and Comet with bleach works well too. I am a heavy bleach user but the above cleaners work best for my shower.
I use vinegar to clean all glass around here. I also soak the shower head aobut once a month in vinegar.

Just like Sarah says, Scour Off from Shaklee is the best! And if you switch to Shaklee's cleansers and shampoos you will never have shower or tub scum again. Oprah featured those products four times on her show last year.
