We are looking for spring vacation ideas. It is probably to late to book something. Looking for something that perhaps is being overlooked by others. I not a great fan of being over crowded and looking for something reasonable. Traveling with a 3 and 6 year old boy.

Hello....Last year we took our kids and our neice and nephew to Grizzly Jacks Resort and waterpark in Utica...it wasnt overcrowed at all and the kids had fun. They have a indoor waterpark and a indoor amusement park....their website is www.grizzlyjacksresort.com

There is a new indoor water park opening in March up in Gurnee called Key Lime Resort...close by and may not be sold out yet.
Lots of nice options with the state parks but that involves lots of hiking - not sure if that is a great idea if you are due in May!

Check them out--sometimes they have really good deals for last minute getaways. We booked a trip for 2 to Ireland a few months ago for $499/person that incl. airfare, car and accomodations!
