Does anyone know of a speech therapist in the Solon area? My son needs speech and Help Me Grow is slow at assigning my son to a therapist so I thought I would venture out on my own.

Did you check with the Solon school system? I just did the same thing for my son in Richfield and even though he is only 3 and is just over the low normal range they said they will work with him.

DId you look to see if Cleveland Hearing and SPeech is nearby or Easter Seals? I know there is CHS in Broadview Hts and the other in Brecksville. Maybe they have multiple offices.

I live in Auburn Twp. & a neighbor's son had a speech problem too. She took him to the Metzenbaum Center in Chester/ Chesterland. He had no other issues, just a speech/language problem. She loved the work they did with her son. They even made weekly visits to her home. I don't know if you have to be a resident of Geauga County though.

I took my son to the Cleveland Clinic Children's Rehab Hospital for speech. They have a satellite office attached to the JCC in Beachwood on South Woodland Rd. Sheri Thompson was my son's therapist there and she was AMAZING!!! ###-###-#### X2204 is the appointment desk (Nadine). Tell her L. Wood sent you and see about getting on the wait list (which could be long as it is everywhere). If by chance you do get into Sheri, tell her I say hi and that Ethan is doing great thanks to her! did you try solon school district? I believe school districts have to offer speech to its residents and that includes preschoolers. (its also free!!)
