You could use instrumental versions of children's songs, or possibly karaoke music that is only the music portion.

I did this for my son's first year and I used a combination of songs to span the length of the video. Most of the music was for background effect, some was christmas themed.

Possibilities: Kenny Loggins - Return to Pooh Corner cd, lullaby music?, veggie tales, classical - baby einstein, Raffi, some of the songs used for weddings might be appropriate.

I would use something that your family enjoys listening too, even if it's not baby music, like the beatles, or modern music.

Beautiful Boy - John Lennon
I carry your heart - David Crosby
Smile Smile Smile - Dan Zanes
Into the Mystic - Van Morrison
That's All - Michael Buble
Come Away with me - Norah Jones
Let my love open the door - Pete Townshend (slow version - Gross pointe blank soundtrack)

I just did a video of my daughters first 18 months and I used:

The Peanuts Theme Song (officially called Linus and Lucy)
What a Wonderful World
Over the Rainbow
Baby Mine
Isn't she lovely (wouldn't work too well for a boy :) )

I personally love the song, over the rainbow. I used that song for a video of my son. It is sang by a Isreal Kamakawiwo'ole
