I would like to put my 4yo and 5yo in soccer but I need some advice on where the best places are. We live in Olathe, but I am open to places in surrounding areas.

Thanks!

What can I do next?

My son plays for the Olathe Rush soccer club, but I haven't had the best experiences with them. We have kept him on the same team because we got lucky and found a great coach who has a lot of soccer experience and is great with the kids. All of the younger teams are coached by parent volunteers, so you never know what kind of coach you'll end up with. I have heard good things about the YMCA soccer program, so I would try that instead. Good luck!

My child has participated in the Blue Valley Soccer Club which has a Pre-K program. They try to group kids by schools whenever possible. The Pre-K program has short practices before the game. After the Pre-K year, there is practice once a week and usually a game once a week. Their phone number is ###-###-#### and their website is www.bluevalleysoccer.org. My son's games last year were held at the Blue Valley Recreation complex on 137th St. between Switzer and Antioch. The YMCA has a soccer program and the Olathe number is ###-###-#### x 308. There is also another group called the Kansas Rush and they are based in Olathe. Their website is www.kansasrush.com and their phone number is ###-###-####. Good luck!

I strongly recommend the soccer leagues at the YMCA. They are very age appropriate, and I think you have a Y in Olathe!

We have a 4 year old daughter and she has been in a league at All American Indoor Soccer for about six months. Coaches are amazing and patient. Their facility is in Lenexa at 87th and Rosehill.
