I have a very fussy newborn that seems to only stop crying when she is held!!! Unfortunetly that is not too easy to do ... Anyone have any advice on Slings? One they used and liked or disliked???

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you for the advice. I want to Peppermint Baby and tried on several slings, making my decision on a hot sling.

THANK YOU!

I used a NoJo with both of my kids. My daughter didn't care for it (but she also hated pretty much everything else as an infant) but my son absolutely loved it. We have so many pictures of his little head in the sling, just hanging out...

Slings are awesome! You can hold your baby and still get things done at the same time! I like Over The Shoulder Baby Holder slings www.babyholder.com, though some think they are too bulky. Hotslings look real nice, and the Mom who started this business is also local. Mei Tai's and Maya Wrap's are very nice. There is a local store I believe in Plano called www.peppermint.com that sells slings and has classes on using them. Here is a local parenting support group that includes baby wearing: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NorthDallasPlanoAPI

I can't give any advice for a sling being I never used one but have you tried swaddling her?
that always worked for mine when they were newborns.
We loved it so much I bought the swaddling blankets.

We have the Moby Wrap, which allows different holds for different ages/weights. I only had to practice putting it on a couple of times before I was able to do it easily without help. Both my husband and I were able to use it very comfortably. Infact, my husband would "wear" Meara almost every night so I could nap. She'd fall asleep against him while he stood infront of the television. :) She's much too independent to use it anymore, but even at age two she's within the weight limit.

I used a sling from hotslings.com and it worked great. No straps or adjustments to make.
