Several of you have posted about knowing great doulas in SLC. I'd much appreciate a referral if you could email me any contact information at ____@____.com. I can't figure out how to email you directly from this board.

Warmly,

E.

I used a great doula 10 years ago. I can tell you her last name was Proskauer and she lives on Lake St. in SLC.

My mother in law is a Doula, and she is fantastic. If you are interested, I will email you her info. She has been a doula for at least 8 years.

WEEEE HEEE! Can I EVER! I had the most fabulous doula, who is now also my friend, and I could not say enough good. I had an extremely stressful and LONG birth, that ended up in a c/section. It was incredibly stressful, on both my husband and I and throughout the entire time, she never lost her cool, or forgot what our wishes were.
Post delivery, she stayed with me through recovery(about 3 hours) as well as staying with us when we first were able to see our baby in the NICU. She called just about every day in the hospital, and offered whatever support she could. She came for a postpartum visit and brought me a little gift, as well as a crocheted blanket for our baby.
During labor she did aromatherapy, massage, and breathing techniques. She was open to whatever I wanted to try and all around helpful. I was ten days post date and in those ten days, she did acupressure massage to try and help stimulate labor, as well as aromatherapy then. She's FANTASTIC! Email me if you want anymore information- but here is her information!

My doula was amazing! I had her for post-partum, but wished I had known about a birth doula and had hired her prior. I can't say enough wonderful things about her. She is such a wonderful, loving woman and knows so much about being a mom and a doula.

Based on the previous poster's response, I'm not clear if we should post that information on the board or not. So, I won't. But, if you want my doula's name and contact info, I will give it to you. I highly recommend her!
