Any advice on the Sit'n Stand strollers out there? Just wondering if anyone has used them and what your opinion was. I'm researching the double strollers and wondering if this is a good option for us. One Step Ahead has a double stroller that converts to a one seat stroller and a standing platform for the toddler....let me know if you have any feedback on this one as well. Thanks!

What can I do next?

my little one was just 20 months old when my second was born and I bought an attachment to fit on my current stroller. it is called a sit n go by litaf, the only placce in the us i could find it was baby depot. it was about 60 and attachs to most strollers including an umbrella stroller and is easy to put on and off. my oldest does great and feels like a big girl while my infant can be in her carrier in the front. i can put my stroller together and the kids in before my friend can get her heavy double stroller out and unfolded! good luck and congrats.

Chrisy,

We have the One Step Ahead stroller and love it. We got it when my daughter was born and my son was just 2.5 years old. Now my daughter is 2.5 and my son is 5 we still use it when we know we will be doing a lot of walking. D.

Congrats on the new baby coming! I have 21 month old twins and recently bought a Joovy Sit-N-Stand @ Babies 'R Us and I love it. It can be used for toddlers on the back and infants in the front. It comes with the equipment to use a baby carrier for infants. Below are the links to the Joovy website as well as the Babies 'R Us/Toys 'R Us site for the stroller (actual page the stroller is on). Good luck with whichever stroller you decide to use.

I bought the one from One Step Ahead in 2003 through the Right Start retail store. There was one major problem and one minor problemI had with it.

Major problem - the front was very heavy and it made it a little cumbersome to turn around clothes racks in stores. Minor problem - there wasn't a good way to store it when not in use. It took up a lot of room in the trunk.

When used as two seats - with the infant seat in front and the toddler seated in back - I really had a hard time pushing it. My husband usually had to do it. Once the baby was able to sit up on her own, we changed the back seat into the standing platform. (The platform in back could also be used a seat by your toddler - my oldest loved using it this way; however, the storage area got a little trampled on since she wanted to see her sister and face forward.) This way it wasn't as heavy to deal with.

Since I bought it so long ago, perhaps the newer version is less front heavy and has better manuevaribility.

Hope this helps.

I have a Sit 'N' Stand and I love it. My toddler refuses to ride in a traditional stroller, but she loves this one. And it isn't terribly expensive for a double stroller either : ).

i bought the Joovy and wish i'd just gone ahead and bought this as soon as i had my first...i love this thing!!! it will hold basically any infant car seat and then holds the baby securely when old enough. the toddler can sit in the back or stand and there's a basket underneath. it is light and easy to handle and fold. when i researched them they were only available at babies 'r us and on amazon.com...worth every penny!!

The Sit n' Stand strollers are wonderful, but also, be aware of your needs. My friend does a lot of walking, and we are always going places where we do A LOT of walking, like the zoo, parks, etc. Her 3 year old loves the sit n' stand, but she get's tired after about an hour and wants to sit also. She just recently bought the double stoller and uses it more than the other. If you are going to be very active and out walking, I would recommend the double, if it's just for a short period of time, and your toddler doesn't tire easily, go for the sit n' stand.

I highly racommend the Caboose stroller made by Joovy. I have a 2 yr old and a newborn and its light weight and easy to handle, I can push it with one hand. The only bad think is there is no cup holder, and the basket is kind of small.
Heres the website if you want to check it out.
