I have had the same problem with my sippy cups where they start to leak when my 1 year old son uses them. I was fond of the playtex sippies untill recently when they started to leak and the rubber mouth pieace started peeling off and I found that it wasnt safe anymore.
so I was in cvs with my sister talking about some sippie cups and she pointed out the playskool sippies which are hard plastic all around and even the inside valve was hard plastic not rubber and what I loved was you can choose fast or slow dripping so that the sippie doesnt leak, and I found that now there are less leaks
and more drinking which is wonderful, I also like the way the handles are on the cup instead of the sippie mouth pieces and you can take the handles off the playskool one if you dont want it unlike all of the others this one is switchable , so maybe you would like to try those instead ....

I liked the playtex ones with my older daughter, the ones that look like a coffee cup but now I an pretty fond of the Gerber ones (they are pink and green with handles and a curved top) with the little white HARD plastic valve. I have found that you need to make sure that the valve is a hard plastic AND where it fits into the lid is also hard plastic to easure no leaks. Basicly, if its rubber or silicone, it will lose its shape and leak. If its hard, it will not (We Hope!!).

PLAYTEX!! They are the only ones that work. I was referred to them by another Mommy who went through it also.

I have never had a playtex cup leak. I also don't keep them forever. You need to replace the valves on any sippy cup every 3 months. If the cup is getting older the silicone valve may need to be replaced. I see someone posted about playskool cups, be careful what you buy alot of them contain bpa and playskool cups had a huge recall last year due to a choking hazard. Look for cups that are bpa free.
Gerber is another good choice!

I like the Nuby ones, only have a problem if the stopper isn't in good.

I also recommend the gerber cups. I never have leakage problems unless the valve has fallen out for some reason, which rarely happens.
