Get Singulair. My daughter and I used to get sinus headaches all the time once we moved to the country. The Doctor put us on Singulair and we have only had maybe one a month due to the weather here changing so much over the winter (snow, then rain, sunny, then rain, etc.)

Oh..and I use Astelin nose spray right when I feel one coming on and boil water with Vick's vapor rub.

Costco has something called "Ocean Saline Nasal Spray" which is a nasal rinse spray.
Its good.
Here is the link about it:
http://oceannasalcare.com/products/saline-nasal-spray/

My Hubby has Sinus problems too.
He uses:
1) Neti pot nasal rinse
2) Sudafed with Pseudoephedrine (you have to ask for it behind the Pharmacy counter.) 12 hour, Non-drowsy.
3) Claritin

This helps him.

Now, my Husband uses these things, daily.
Or when he has flare ups. Like right now.
He's been having nasal sinus issues like your Husband.
These things helps my Husband.

Okay....i get that your husband has sinus problems.

That's me.

1. Go to an ENT - Ear Nose and Throat Doctor.
2. Tell him/her what is going on - problems, etc.
3. He/She will probably order an MRI or a CAT scan of the nasal cavity.
4. Buy a thermometer for the house that has a humidity count on it. You may have to purchase a humidifier for the house for use during the winter.
5. Ask the ENT to test him for allergies. There are many medications out there that help with allergies.
6. Ask the ENT if the use of the NeilMed Sinus rinse would help him. I use it every night before i go to bed to ensure my sinuses are "cleaned" out...it makes a HUGE difference!!!

He can have his sinus' "blown out" that's what my Dr did for me almost 2 years ago. The surgery is a day thing so there is no staying over night. For 48 to 72 hours, he will need to stay upright - NO LAYING DOWN - a comfy chair is IMPORTANT - no carbonated drinks - NONE - during this time and it will work...it did for me.

Has he been to an ENT? Try ENT Associates on the Island.

Forget what friends say - find a doctor you trust and go with it. I know lots of people who has successful sinus surgery.

I did. Found out I had nasal pollops. Had the surgery to remove them. They came right back. Still have lots of sinus problems. My Dr. put me on Singulair and I can't say it's helping. I have an itchy throat every single night. Started taking Zyrtec every day for the last week and have been coughless. I don't have a runny nose or itchy eyes either.Have him try the Neti pot at Walgreens. It's a sinus wash/rinse. Works great.

try the neti pot. It is awesome and as long as I use it I don't get any sinus infections (I used to get at least 2 a year). Good luck!

My aunt had the sinus surgery and she hasn't had a problem since. It was little over a year ago.
