Similac Formula

I have a few cans of sealed, unexpired Similac (advance and Isomal soy) that I don't have use for. My baby is almost 1 and has been breastfed the whole time. Any thoughts as to what I can do with the formula? I just hate to throw it out when they may be someone who could use them.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Great idea! I will be donating them to a shelter for homeless, pregnant women. It feels so good to be able to help someone!

Post it on craigslist, someone will need it.

Call Family and Children's Services (or something similar in your area). This is what I did when I got free samples in the mail - and they even came out to my car so I did not have to take my son out of his car seat! They really appreciated it!!

Why not take them to a women's shelter? There may be someone there who could use it.

Wasn't similac recalled this year? I'd make sure it wasn't the ones you have before donating it/selling it. If it was recalled, I think they'll give you money back??

Sell them on craigslist. When I had extra, I did for about $5 a can.
Or donate them to a local food pantry.

I was able to donate some that I had to our local Birthright office. They were able to take all the formula I had that was still sealed.

I agree with the idea of a women's shelter or try a pregnancy resource center. I am sure someone can use it. I donated mine to a pregnancy center.

Donate it to a Pregnancy Helpline in your area. We have on in Brighton. Or find a moms group at a local church.

How nice of you to give this away!!
