ALL I CAN SAY IS WD-40!!! Been there, sorry you have to be there too, its a lengthy process but it does work. To get the WD-40 out of clothes use dish soap and wash as usual, it actually works to get oil stains out too.

You might want to try GOO GONE to remove the silly putty. It works to get out bubble gum and other stuff without ruining your carpet etc.

Oh, yes, been there done that with SILLY PUTTY! Try putting an ice cube on it and holding it, it should really harden it big time.
I have had success with removing it except on a fuzzy blanket, which I just had to strategically cut it off of the blanket. Matter of fact I just threw ours out, never again until they are a lot older.
I love playdough and stuff like that but silly putty gets stringy and everywhere and doesn't come out easy. Try the ice!!

Take a chunkc of the silly putty that isn't stuck on the clothes and roll it into a ball. Then use that ball of silly putty to pull the rest off of the clothes. Just take that ball and put it on the spot and then gently pull and little pieces will come off. It might take a little time but it will all come out. Good luck

OMG I remember disliking my mother in law tons one Christmas when Silly Putty was a Christmas gift to my son who loved it SO much.... He slept with it. It melted TO his scalp!!!

I tried everything to get that blue sticky mass out of his hair and what ended up working was a lot of time and patience. I slowly dug it out little by little out of his hair by hand. He had long hair at the time (close to the middle of his back) and I didnt want to cut it. Good luck, find a good movie and sit down and take your time getting it out. I have never allowed that mess in my house since so my younger 2 have never even played with it.

I had the same problem. I googled it and ended up using WD-40 and hot water. I also "hear" that goof off 2 (water based) workes well also. Good luck...

S., you might want to try a product called UnDo. It is used by scapebookers to remove glue without harming the paper. It also evaporates. I have purchased it at Wal-Mart for a reasonable price, also at the craft stores. Good Luck.

Sounds weird what I am going to say, but I looked it up and a lot of people said to use the gel hand santitizer, after scraping off as much as you can, rub it in and wash.

Would be interested to hear if it really works.

Just had this problem -- go to the silly putty website -- google your question and Crayola has a page with extensive instructions. It is basically scrape off as much as you can then use WD-40 on the item. We had some in an afghan, ended up throwing it. Also had some in the carpet, but the carpet
cleaner did get it out. Best of luck!

My little ones got silly putty all over my babies bundle me. I got most of it out using goo gone. I had to spray it on and let is soak in and then wash it. I did this about three times and it worked. Goo Gone works on a lot of yucky, sticky messes! Good luck!

I usually freeze gum or anything of that consistency. Put the garment in the freezer overnight and scrape of the putty in the morning. I hope it works!
