Side Sleeper Pillow Recommendations

Hi ladies,
I am a side-sleeper and am having a hard time finding a good side sleeping pillow. The best pillows for me are ones that are soft and flat, and just about every new pillow I have tried in the past give me neckaches- even the ones labeled as being for side sleepers. I can't handle those memory foam ones at all- they hurt my ears when I sleep for some reason. Does anyone have a recommendation for a great side sleeping pillow, or a good way to break in a new pillow? Thanks!

What can I do next?

I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and found the ones that said side sleeper. I kept laying my head on them and finally made a choice. You might try that...

I did the same as Doris Day, went to BB&B and picked one that said for side sleepers. It is one that is contoured to fit your neck, and the only problem I'm having now is my hips are sore with the pregnancy and I keep rolling on my back in my sleep and waking up to a sore neck.

I got an excellent pillow where we bought our Temperpedic. It's higher on one side than on the other and I use the higher side. It's sort of like a day old marshmallow, it sinks when I put my head on it but it only goes so far then it stops. I love how it feels all night long.

I'm a side sleeper too, and can't stand a pillow that is too "tall" or hard (get major neck aches - ugh!). I actually buy the pillows at Target that are in the big bin at the end of the aisle. They're $4. They are soft and flat! But last night I got in bed and was thinking it was almost too flat?! I'm interested in reading your responses. At least with the Target pillows - they don't give me a neck ache, and they're cheap (so I replace them every 2 or 3 months)
