I was wondering what do you do with your kids when they are sick and you are working. I have yet to find someone to come care for them. My husband and I have been switching off as much as possible, but we are both getting ready to be in a situation where we won't be able to take off.

What can I do next?

Check with your local hospital. I live in Florida and one of ours runs a sick child daycare.

When my children were younger I used Presbyterian Hospital's KidMed. I don't know if the set up is the same now but it used to be that you called in the morning and a nurse called you back (usually really quickly) and you decided if it was a fit.Supervised by an RN and a nurse aide. You could contact the main number ###-###-#### and ask for KidMed. You do need to set things up in advance the first time, I think.
Good luck and God bless.

Your best bet is to find a good at-home sitter for those sick days. My daughter goes to a daycare facility but on those sick days when I have to go in to work, she goes to her old sitter's house. She'll keep my daughter anytime but I only take her when she's not contagious and when I must go to work. Otherwise, I stay home with her.

are your children in traditional daycare? if so that might be the problem. with so many kids in a traditional daycare the germs get passed back and forth and you as a parent have no control over how the daycare is handling it.
