Hi Moms,
I am 6 weeks with my 3rd child and I SWEAR I'm showing!!! Does everything happen faster? I was hoping to wait until week 12 to tell everyone, but I may not be able to. I started off a little chuncky/overweight, but not obesse by any means. Am I crazy or does my body know what's going on and is just getting prepared?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you ladies!!!! It's good to know I'm not the only one & I'm not crazy! I just went to Old Navy and bought some of the "slouchy tees" they have some room in them and they may carry me over for a little while!

You're not crazy! When I got pregnant with my second, I swear I was showing at 2 weeks! My husband was looking at my belly and saying, "you're pregnant." I didn't get a confirmed pregnancy test until 4 weeks later.
The body remembers what to do and just starts doing it. It's a remarkable thing!
Everything seemed to happen faster...especially the getting big part, but I didn't gain any more weight than I did with the first and baby was right on time.
Good luck to you and CONGRATULATIONS!

You are not crazy, same thing happened to me when I got pregnant with my third child, and I am petite. I had to start wearing blousy shirts to cover the "pooch" by 1 month and was wearing stretchy pants by two months. I think it is just a matter of 1. The muscles in that area are already somewhat loose from 2 prior pregnancies and 2. We know we don't have to walk around sucking it in anymore! Its uncomfortable! So I would just say go ahead with your plan to tell people when You want to tell them, andy one who calls you on your weight gain is a jerk, wear loose or baggy clothes, there are still quite a few fashions right now that should allow that easily, my littlest guy is two and I am still wearing a lot of those swing tops that compliment the stubborn tummy I can't seem to get rid of now = ) Others may suspect, but most people will be too kind to mention it = ) Congratulations!!!

my husband and i noticed it about 6 wks w/our 2nd, others didn't notice untill about 2-3 weeks later

once the skin is stretched the first time, others tend to show faster b/c you're body already know what to do

NOPE, you're not crazy!!! I started to show too, at 6 wks w/ our second. I'm now 19 wks along, and I'm as big now as I was when I delivered our 1st kid! It's gonna be a long pregers for me(sounds like for you too:)!) It's crazy, how our bodies remember where they were once stretched to, and how quickly they get big again. I never lost my original baby weight gain of 30 lbs, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do w/ it or not. So far, I've only gained 10 lbs, but I look like I've gained 30-40! Ha! Good luck w/ your pregnancy!

Yeah, I think with subsequent pregnancies your body just sort of knows what to do, so you show earlier. I started to show a little with our 2nd daughter at about 8 weeks. There's no way I could have waited until 12 weeks to tell everyone.

Congrats! :)

Good Morning M., Congratulations!!!

I betcha you are the only one that notices the extra little pooch out there. Because you Know already your are Preggers. I couldn't wait the first time to show... lol the second time well I was excited too but sure wasn't ready for the maturity cloths yet. Then to have to wear them home again was not fun!! lol

If someone asks if your preggers, put it back on them and ask "Do I look like I am"??? ;) then you can wait to say yes when ever you want to. LOL

Congratulations hon, excited for you

God Bless

That happened to me two my third pregnancy!! I looked like I was 5 or 6 months along by two months along. Everyone thought I was further along than I was but I wasn't, I just gained fast. I am a small girl too. Im only 5 feet tall, and my daughter is 9 months old now and I am back down to 109 lbs. I do have a belly flab that hangs over my pants now though after three kids that I didn't have after one or two. oh well

I started retaining water almost instantly with my son. I noticed at only 3 weeks that my pants were a little too tight. I thought that I was probably getting ready to start my period and was bloated (even though we were trying for a baby). So NOPE I think you're totally sane. Everyone is different and some of us show early on, I did! But don't worry about weight gain. Even though I was showing early I gained around 30 lbs, which is perfectly normal and healthy.

I went through the same thing several weeks ago. I started looking pregnant really early in my pregnancy (I'm pregnant with baby #4). So, no I don't think you're crazy!! I am now 29 weeks along and I still haven't gained any weight- not 1 lb! So, maybe you'll luck out, too :) Congratulations!!!!

Everyone is different but it does seem with each pregnancy, moms show sooner. Congratulations on your new little one and here's a prayer that all goes well for you and that beautiful miracle growing inside of you.

I started showing right away with my daughter...you can chalk some of it up to just "gaining weight" but if you are modifying your behavior (i.e. not drinking when you normally due) they will know. And no, you're not being crazy...some kids just grow faster.

No - you are not crazy! :) I am at the end of my pregnancy with #2 now. With both pregnancies, I could no longer wear my normal clothes by about 2 1/2 months. I was showing in a way that I could tell earlier than that, but by 3 months it was obvious to others. Every woman's body is different!
