Shopping for a New OB in the Centerville Area.

Dr. Liam Duggan is awesome. He is very caring and has a great sense of humor. He is very thorough and I never feel rushed when I see him. The only downside I would say is that he is so popular and due to the fact that he doesn't rush his patients his appointments tend to run over, as I have waited 45 minutes before in the lobby. However it is always worth the wait he is the best doctor I have ever had and I wish he could be my family doctor as well! He delivers at Southview and is close to Sam's Club. You won't be dissapointed I promise!

I just delivered with Dr Lisa Eggbert on Paragon Road. I think it is called Paragon Womens Center. She was wonderful and I would definitely recommend her. She delivers at Kettering. She is in a practice on her own, yet I never had to wait very long- and I usually had my 4 and 2 y/o with me. I ended up delivering a month early with slight complications and was very happy with the way she handled it- very comforting! Best of luck to you and I hope you find someone you are happy with.

I go to Contemporary OBGYN behind J. Alexanders in Centerville. I have seen all the doctors in their practice, but really like Amy Byerly best. Amy delivered my twin boys in September 2007 and was incredible! We are trying to get pregnant again now and there is no doubt I will continue to see Amy. They only deliver at Southview. Our experience at Southview was equally as wonderful. I am 30 years old with the 22 month old twins, own our own business with 30 employees, and am trying for another child/children. I imagine life will be chaotic for a few years if we get pregnant. Congratulations!

I just gave birth to my 2nd and used Dr Stephen Guy (Women's Health Specialists). His primary offices are in Vandalia and in Dayton at Miami Valley, but I am almost positive that he just opened an office in Centerville. Dr Guy is WONDERFUL and he has 3 midwives on staff who are also fantastic. They are everything I had hoped for in an ob practice - all 4 of them have excellent bedside manners. I truly cannot say enough about them. I live in Fairborn and drove 25-30 min for my appointments because I liked them so much. Their phone number is ###-###-####. I too am looking for a new OB/GYN in the Kettering area so I can't offer you a suggestion for who to see, but I can definitely give you a suggestion for who not to see. I saw Dr. Bembry. Throughout my pregnancy he was extremly absent minded and forgetful. He snapped at my son when my son expressed concern over my dying during surgery. He kept forgetting when I was due (shouldn't that be in the chart?) and he was constantly cancelling appointments. After giving birth I was in the hospital for almost three weeks and only saw him three times. I actually did a search on him on the internet to make sure he didn't have any pending malpractice claims. Instead I found out he was going through a divorce. He filed for divorce from his wife a few days after Christmas, took custody of their only son (she's in her 50s and can't have any more), and moved in with his girlfriend (all public information from court dockets). I just think that is rude and inconsiderate. I now know before I sign up with any more doctors I am checking them out on the internet first. But I will definitely keep my eye on the responses to your question so I can also see who people are recommending (and not recommending).

Hi! I just delivered my first baby at Southview with Dr. Mark Day. I live in Centerville as well. Dr. Day's practice is actually in Springboro off of 741 but the 15 minute drive is absolutely worth it. He has a fantastic bedside manner, a great listener, and his staff is good as well. Over the entire pregnancy I only had to wait past my appointment time once, and on another occasion I received a phone call from his staff letting me know that he had an emergency and would not be able to see me. I would refer anyone to Dr. Day.
