Sesame Street Live for a 3Yr Old?

We're thinking about taking our almost 3 yr old to see it. We figure she's at a good age for it. Have you taken your kiddos at that age? How did it work out?

For Chicago-land mamas/papas, have you been to the Akoo Theater? Are the orchestra pit seats worth it/good for this show? If we take her, we want her to get the most out of the experience. What about the Sunny Seats package?

Thanks!

So What Happened?

Thanks all! We just booked our tickets. Now I'm just hoping she doesn't freak out about being closer to the characters since we splurged on 2nd row seats. :)

Three is great for that. We had back of the theater seats there and didn't mind at all. In fact, I thought it was better since we could see the entire stage and all the characters at once without having them in our faces. Have fun!

My kids loved it at that age and yes, get the best tickets you can afford, it will be worth it!

I think three is a good age. My son was 2.5 when we took him and he liked it (and he doesn't even watch the show). I felt orchestra was overpriced as all the seats were on the same level (sight line issues, especially since big balloons are sold at intermission), but I did notice that a lot of kids in the orchestra were out of their seats, in the aisles, and close to the stage, having a good old time and getting to be up close with the characters in the audience. Look at your seating and stage layout, each venue is different (we aren't in Chicago). Personally , when I am with my kid, I like to be in a seating section with raked seats so he has a better chance of seeing over the other kids who are standing up and dancing around.

Love, love, love Sesame Street Live! My son was not quite three the first time I took him. We went every year for a long time. Now, they (16 and 19) take a friend's two little ones. It was their idea, I think they were just looking for a excuse to go again. Have lots of fun!!!

She is at the perfect age. Not sure about the theatr you are talking about,
just remember sometime too close is not great. You willl not see the whole
stage. A few rows back is better.

My son was just around 2 when I took him and he LOVED it!!! Prior to purchasing the tickets, I had looked it up on youtube to see if it was something that my son would be interested in. It's a great show that held his attention. We met Grover and Elmo before the show. I would do it again.

The cast of characters came down during the show to interact with the front rows. I would sit as close as possible if the venue is big.

We took our son when he was a little over 2 and he loved it!! He didn't really watch Sesame Street that much but still like all the music, singing, the lights - just the entire performance. I would take him again in a heartbeat! Enjoy it!
