I am looking for a new OBGYN/midwife in the Rochester, Michigan area. My first delivery ended in a C-section which I believe was unnecessary for a few reasons. We are planning another child and I'd like to have a new doctor/midwife in place before I get pregnant. Thanks so much!

What can I do next?

I had a VBAC with my second child. It went really well and was a great experience. My Dr.s office is Paint Creek OB-GYN. The two Dr.s in the practice Dr. Wolf and Dr. Condaveaux are both WONDERFUL!!!! The number is ###-###-#### and they are at 6700 Rochester Rd. Good luck!

Oakland-Macomb Ob/gyn is awesome! I had my first 2 children there with the midwives. They were so great! I haven't met all the ob's, but the few I have seen are also great. I can't say one bad thing about this practice!
Good luck :)

I asked my friend that I knew would have an answer for you. Here is her response:

Dr. Zaiden I believe works out of Crittenton - highly recommend him.
I don't think there are many hospital midwives in that area but it would likely be quite worth the drive to see the Metro Partners CNMs that would work out of the ____@____.com I recommend seeking the advice of a doula. This is my mom's (Eileen Denomme's) website:
http://www.michiganmidwife.com
Not only can she provide hospital labor support but she would be able to give more trustworthy recommendations for which hospitals/practices are most dependable to VBAC with!

Lastly I would recommend trying to attend a BirthNetwork Macomb chapter meeting in Shelby Twp where she can meet Eileen and other VBAC professionals in person, the next one is next Thursday the 11th @ 7pm -- www.macombbirthnetwork.weebly.com

Thanks for thinking of me!

M.M.,

Who did you end up using and how did you like them? I'm in the exact same situation now and want a doctor/midwife for my second child that is willing to do a VBAC and isn't so eager to give me drugs and a C-section.
