Seeking Working Mom's Group in North Denton Area

I just discovered Mamasource and I cannot say how delighted I am that this kind of resource exists! Being a first-time mom, I feel like I'm winging it half the time! I know there's a Stay-At-Home Mom's Group in Denton, but I don't know of a Working Mom's Group. Can anyone tell me if that sort of thing exists in Denton? If it doesn't, would anyone be interested in starting one together? The poll results state that 71% of us do not belong to a mom's club of any kind. Us mama's need to stick together! Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much for the info on Mom's Club! I wasn't aware it was for working mother's as well as stay-at-home. I will certainly give them a try!

I am not sure of a working moms' group specifically in Denton, but this chapter of Mothers & More includes members from Lewisville, Flower Mound, Denton, Highland Village, Corinth, Carrollton, Bartonville, Argyle, Lantana, Kelller, Plano and Dallas.

I am a member of the MOMS Club Denton South (I actually live in Corinth) and I know that there are both working and stay at home moms in this group. If you are interested in more information you can contact Melitta Fitzgerald by email at ____@____.com is the membership chair and can give you more information. The annual fee is $25 and there are monthly socials, kids activities, etc.

Im not sure if there is one but I would love to know if there is or I would be interested in being involved in one. I live in Denton as well and most of my friends are stay at home moms. I almost never can get together with them.

Mothers and More is where you need to be! I joined five years ago and am still a member!

All moms work, we support those that work in the house, outside the house, full time, part time, all the time :) Our goal is to support moms who want the best for their families. We know the best for your family is different from what is best for any other family, and that is what makes you the best Mom for your kids!

We have moms with newborns and moms with teenagers, moms that started their families young and moms that waited a little longer to start their families. Moms that joined just last week and moms that have been in our chapter for even longer than me :)

Check out our website, call our email our welcoming coordinator, ask about playgroup, join us for a moms only meeting or a family gathering. You will not be disappointed!

Hi, I live in Lake Dallas and I had a hard time being the only stay-at-home mom who worked when my son was small. I just couldn't do the outings and stuff that the SAHs could during the day, but missed the friendships I had when I was in the working world. My son is 10 now and I don't feel like I need the group anymore, but what I would suggest that you do is go to a social networking website called www.meetup.com. For a small monthly fee you can start your own group looking for members by topic and location. Hope that helps and good luck. L.

I live in Denton too and work full-time as well. I haven't heard of any groups, but would be intersted too. I'll also have to check out the ones that someone else has posted to your request.
