Besides "sales" type things & having those product parties... which I don't prefer personally,
these are some options:
(1) If you like to write, try this for being a 'writer' and earning income:
www.ehow.com
www.helium.com
www.associatedcontent.com
(2) http://beaguide.about.com/
if you can become a "Guide" on About.com, there are some good earnings. It is a 'job' and quite respectable.
(3) Have a t-shirt store:
via www.cafepress.com I have a shop already www.cafepress.com/littlegoogoo via Cafe Press, where I make my own designs and it's real low maintenance. I do make good monthly earnings... but not millions. I enjoy it a lot, and like anything, you do have to work at marketing yourself too.
(4) Sell things via Ebay.
(5) Babysit in your home. (I have done this so that I could stay home when I had my daughter), and you can make good stable monthly income this way. I just baby-sat 1 or 2 other children, besides my own. And, I made a good amount every month. But research it, and see if this is something you would like to do. It does take energy taking care of more than 1 child in your home. BUT, since you are the babysitter, YOU can make your hours or schedule or rules. Some woman, just do "drop-in" care as well... for only 2-3 hours per day, and charge hourly... thereby, having the rest of the day 'free' to themselves and with their own baby. Or, some woman just do baby-sitting at night time... for those who work nights, or just want to go out as adults. This is a viable option as well. You get your 'clients' and then screen them, and hand-pick who you want to babysit for, and then this can become reliable income too. But you have to be flexible and 'want' to do it, in addition to your own child... thus, juggling tasks.
The writing venues are the one's which I have looked into myself....and am working towards currently... I am in the process of writing articles now and compiling it. I just haven't had much undisturbed time to fully thrust myself into it yet. But it is very appealing and workable if you put time into it, like any other 'job' from home. So that is what my goal is.
I hope this helps... and I really wish you the best of luck. As most Moms, we really would like to stay home with our children if possible.
All the best to you,
Susan
