Seeking Violin or Guitar Lessons in Campbell Area

After searching the internet for two days, I decided to cut to the chase and see if any of you have any good recommendations for private violin or guitar lessons. We want quality but fun, not necessarily to prepare my kids for Juliard. My two youngest, 6 and 8 wish to take violin and my 10 year old would like to take guitar.

What can I do next?

Hi L.. I found Gary's phone number. I talked to him and he said he is available to give lessons if you are interested. His phone number is ###-###-####. His name is Gary Pomeroy. Hope this works for you.

I have a friend who teaches guitar. He's a very good friend and very good with kids. My kids adore him. He plays professionally and has worked with kids at my church for more than 15 years. I believe he will come to your house for lessons if that would make you more comfortable. Unfortunately, I only see him on Sundays. Would you like me to give him your email address or phone number to contact you? Otherwise you can leave him a message at his band's web site which is ____@____.com. I'm not sure how often they check their messages though. Let me know.

I would recommend Suzuki lessons for the violin. The children learn to play right away and reading music follows when appropriate. At the ages of 6 & 8, they will soar. Call any local music store and they will give you a list of teachers. For the guitar, I am at a loss - maybe try music stores that sell guitars for a referral.

Have fun - my kids played Suzuki violin and Suzuki piano years ago and loved it.

You might just try Music Village on Union Avenue ###-###-####. I'm pretty sure they have a list of music teachers they can give you, or at least refer you to a place that does.
