Hi!

I am in search of a United Methodist or non denominational church in the Lakewood area. I want something that has a strong children and youth program and youth groups. My 12 and 8 year olds need to learn about God. We were involved in our church before we moved here, but it has been 6 years since we have been active in church. Help!

So What Happened?

We found a church! We have been a few times and went to the membership meeting (althouh we haven't taken that step, yet). My daughter is loving all the activities they offer for children. The pastor is a woman (bonus!) And they are quite relaxed there. Yeah, I think we like it there. The first time we went, the songs sung were some of our favorites, a family with kids our kids' ages sat right behind us and I was moved to tears by the sermon. Oh and there was a baptism. We are attending Green Mountain United Methodist Church in Lakewood.

Thanks for all of your suggestions, fellow mommies!

My church is awesome. It's in Littleton, but we live in Lakewood, too, and we love it love it love it. They have a great youth program. They also have great adult programs, too. It's called The Rock of Southwest. It's non denominational. Their motto is A Real Church for Real People. The pastor is almost a stand up commedian but his messages are also very powerful. They also have a great worship team so the music is really fun. If you want to try it out, it's off Kipling, turn west on Alamo. Just a block before Bowles. Services are at 8:30, 9:50, and 11:15. Sunday School is usually at 9:50, altho they have programs up thru 6th grade during all services. Wednesday nights is another program for preschoolers thru 6th grade, and then after 6th grade starts youth group. I highly recommend it. We have a ton of fun at this church! Send me a message if you want to try it out. I can meet you on Sunday and introduce you to anyone. :)

We have visited St.Andrew UMC in Highlands Ranch, but we live too far away to go there on a regular basis. We live in Westminster and attend a Nazareene church here, but St. Andrew had an AWESOME children's ministry.

Good Luck Church hunting!

I know people who go to West Bowles and Foothills Bible and really like those. The youth group at West Bowles seems to be friendlier from what I hear.

Hi,

I live in Highlands Ranch and I am a member of St. Luke's UMC. I know several families that travel from Ken Caryl. St. Luke's is an awsome place for families. We have an incredible Chidren's Ministries and we also have adult programs and family programs. I would like to invite you to come and check it out. My children are 10, 7.5, 5.75 and 3. Our web site is www.stlukeshr.com. Hope to see you there!
