My daughter Mattison is turning one on May 5th and I was wondering if anyone has any cute , unique fun ideas? Mattison was born 10 and 1/2 weeks early and stayed in NICU for six weeks. She is doing great and is so strong and busy!! Ha! I would like to plan a special and really fun party for her. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you,

My best friend had a tea party for her girl, which was mostly for the adults. My son will be one in a few weeks and for one activity I'm having people draw my son pictures with colors and pastels for his bedroom to make it colorful. We have older kids and relatives coming, and my husband is going to make a clue game for them.
Since she's only going to be one .. she won't remember a thing and if the party is for her, let her play in the cake and that will be her favorite thing. They don't even know about unwrapping gifts at that point. You the mom will have to force her sit in the floor with you while you open everything. At that age and having others invited the excitement involved will take away from any organized games, etc. Just have food and/or snacks for family and friends who attend and let her smash into her cake. Make lots of pics with the friends who attend. End of party.
