Seeking Swingset for Toddlers

I am having trouble finding a swingset with a slide and swings that my 2 boys (ages 2 and 3 1/2)can play on. I have tried Walmart, Toys R Us, Lowes and Home Depot. So far I've only found really small cheap ones or the crazy expensive huge ones. We have a park close by so I don't need anything fancy. I want to spend around $500...they are just so expensive. Does anyone have a brand or store they can recommend? Hoping to get one in the next 2 weeks for my son's birthday. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My son just turned 3 today and for his birthday we got him a swing set. We had originally wanted to get a wooden one, but they are just so expensive - so we went with a metal one. I found this one at Toys R Us...

We love it. My son loves it. My husband actually put it together by himself - With tax it cost $270. The reviews online were great... we had originally picked out a different one, but had really bad reviews. This one is awesome.

Good luck!

You may want to try getting a bigger one used. That's what we did, and now we won't have to worry about them outgrowing it. It's pretty amazing how well a 2 year old does on a big swingset! Look at Craigslist and see what's out there.

My husband bought a kit at Home Depot (it had 3 or 4 different options), bought the wood there too and had it together in a saturday morning in time for our party at 11am. It was under $500. We just did the basic swing configuration. So we have two swings, an infant swing & swinging handle bars. My 4 year old & infant love swinging & my 12 & 14 year olds love it too.

This is what we bought for our daughter when she was 2.

She is now 4.5 and our twins are 2.5. They all love this thing. I don't know if ToysRUs still carries it but you can check.

How about a nice one for free? It is a Little Tykes set with 2 swings, 2 slides (one small one with a walkway to a higher platform that has the higher slide). We bought it when my grandchildren were very small 2 and 4 years old but they have outgrown the set at 5 and 7. It is in good shape and if you pick it up you can have it :). They got a lot of enjoyment out of it, but now it is just a lawn ornament.

Try www.craigslist.com or www.freecycle.org or com... cannot remember the ending. You never know what's available!
