Seeking Suggestions on How to Manage Pms Naturally

Often in the one to two weeks before my period I find myself moderately depressed and/or emotional. It's not severe enough to visit a doctor, but I do feel it affects my ability to be the best wife and mother I can be. Does anyone know any natural remedies for boosting the spirits during this time?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you very much! I am not in the habit of taking vitamins at all, so I will get started, especially considering your suggestions. Thanks again.

I had the same problem and it seemed worse after I had my baby girl! My doctor suggested anti-depressants but I really didn't want to go that route. So she suggested Calcium and Magnesium vitamin supplements. I laughed and thought "how could vitamins help me"??? But after I started taking them on a daily basis I really noticed a change!!! I recommend this to anyone who has PMS...it truly worked for me. And my husband is thankful as well!!

Hi Chase! My name is J....I'm here in Post Falls. Yeah, I
sure do know about something that will help you. Have you ever
heard of "Luminex"? It's all natural, and it pulled me right
out of the same symptoms you're describing. I had four kids
in five years, and I guess I wasn't taking care of myself. So,
I found some good, organic vitamins called Vitality, and then
read up about Luminex. It took about a week and WHAM! I
found my OLD self back again to stay. I can tackle the day now
without fear, and I can't tell you how happy I am now to be
checking off things on my TO DO list (before...it all just
piled up, which made things WORSE!!!). There IS hope, Chase!
Ask about Luminex from Sarah at ____@____.com
She's in California, so I won't give you her phone #.
Stay in touch...let me know what you think about Luminex...
I want to see if I responded normally or better than normal
to the herbs.

Hi Chase,
Getting on a good vitamin is very important. The week or two before your cycle starts you should take extra minerals and calcium. Make sure that what you are getting is being absorbed. The ones you get at the grocery store are only absorbed at 4-10%, the rest just flushes away. I would love to share with you what I take and see if you are interested in trying them. They have a 90 day challenge to feel better or you get a refund. You can email me at ____@____.com. Thanks!

I know what your talking about! What I would suggest is around the time you begin to feel an onset of depression is to try drink the Nutritional Mo' Beta Antioxidants drink's made by Odwalla. This drink is a blend of orange juice, peach, mango and plum purees, pineapple juice w/ a formulation of green tea extract and antioxidants Vitamin E, C and Beta carotene. I'm just typing from what's on the bottle. These seem to help out alot w/ Immune system. They have a website at www.odwalla.com.I find them at Safeway. I also suggest a beginner's Yoga video. It is such a stress reliever! I found VHS tapes of Yoga and Pilates at my local Dollar Tree store! Hope this helps!!!

I work at a callcenter. One of the companies I answer for is called Native remedies. I think you should check them out. All of their products are 100% natural. They do have products for PMS. I just recently started my son on one of their products for ADD, and I swear, after just 3 days, I'm starting to see a small change. Anyway, the website is Nativeremedies.com

Chase, I completely know where you are coming from! My husband used to cringe when I got into my "moods." I started selling Arbonne products, as Stacy mentioned, about 2 years ago and found their Prolief cream so very helpful! If you check it out, look at the Prolief, not the Phytoprolief, this one contains estrogen that you as a younger woman do not need. Phytoprolief is for post-menopausal women. I also take the supplement Arbonne has for PMS.I usually start it a week before my cycle. Really helps to keep me calm. I also love the vitamins, can you tell I really just love Arbonne? The vitamins contain black cohosh which helps with my pre-menopausal hot flashes! LOL! I'm a nurse and have researched all the products with Arbonne, that's why I love them so much. No animal by-products or testing, and all botanically based and hypoallergenic. Hope this info helps! i really do feel for you!

Chase,
I feel for you, I have had horrible PMS in the past. The best remedy is to increase your B vitamins mostly B6 and B12, the best thing to get is a really good Bcomplex vitamin

I don't have PMS as you are speeking of, I just get Crippling cramps. I learned theses are coused by low potassum levals, for 15 years i have been treating them with double srtengh sleepy time or chamomile tea (2 tea bags per cup steeped 10-12 min) and a banana, this can be taken a few times a day, it soothes the soul and the source of the pain. hope it helps some

I am 53 and have struggled with PMS since I was 17 -- including severe migraines. Diet and exercise make a huge difference. Cut your caffine and sugar way down. Avoid your chocolate cravings. Eat lots of leafy greens and other vegetables. Avoid white foods; go for whole grain options.
Go for a walk -- even a short one helps. Meditate or do yoga if you can.
I know it's hard to squeeze exercise into a busy child-centered life. I had my daughter at 40, so I am now dealing with menopause hormonal swings and am using the same techniques I used with PMS.

I use a natural balancing cream from Arbonne International. Here's some info: http://www.arbonne.com/products/balance/phytoProlief.asp
Let me know if you'd like to try it some time. There's a 45 day money back garauntee. So you can try it for a month at no risk. I hope you find something that really works for you. :-)
