My husband is turning 35 in a couple of weeks - and the stresses of law school and a newborn are catching up to the both of us. I thought perhaps a nice massage was in order for him (and possibly me). Sports, deep tissue, hot stone - we're open to suggestions if you've found a place/person you swear by.

Thanks!

Thanks everyone. I've got tomorrow off, and I've now got several places and people to call! Thank you for all the suggestions, recommendations and offers!

Call the Texas Healing Arts Institute.

They are a massage school on Burnet Road. You can get a student massage very cheap (probably around $35.00). Or you can get a professional massage for the going rate. I think it's great for men since it's not all "phoofy" if you know what I mean. And if you get on their email list they do special deals and coupons. One of the owner's is Kirsten Kern and she has been my massage therapist for years. I adore her. I've also had student massages too. It's a terrific place and the price is right!!

Happy Birthday to your husband.
Massages are great gifts; it's the gift of relaxation, pain relief and its obvious that you put a lot of thought into his happiness. I am a massage therapist I work in several places and always get good reviews from my clients. I preform Swedish, Deep tissue, Hot Stone, Sports , and Stretching massage. I like to design a massage that fits each clients individual needs.
My office is peaceful and it looks out onto the green belt. There are curtains that can be drawn for privacy as well. Also my office is big enough to acomadate a couples massage.
call me if this sounds like what you are looking for.

If you haven't already heard about this place, I would highly recommend it. El Rey Executive Club - it's like a salon, but just for men. They're downtown, so shouldn't be too far from you. I even got MY husband to go (against his will, but he liked it and will fully admit to it now).
