Seeking Reputable Jeweler to Pierce 8 Year Old's Ears

There's a jewelry store on Archer around Kedzie. They did my daughter's when she was 3 months old. Clean, expereinced and sensitive to the anxiety of the young child.

Sorry I don't remembe the name anymore. But also, if your daughter is old enough to want them she should be fine going to the Piercing Pagoda or Claire's at the mall.

Warning: if she has sensitive skin at all, sping for the 14K or better starters, you lessen the chances for infection.

This may surprise you,I'm a mother of three girls 10, 8, 5 I took them to the Walmart in Forest Park, Look for Pat. She just pierced my mother's ears,who is 75 years old.

My girls had their ears pierced at 9 yrs old at Claire's. I talked to the girl that did it first. I wanted to feel I could trust her. They use clean and new equpiment and were very careful sanitizing the table first. The girl that did it talked to my girls first to make sure they were comfortable with what was going to be done. Also, most pediatrician offices do it as well.

Check with your peditrican some offer to do it but have a select choice of earring's . I had my 3mnth old ear's pierced at Claires at Harlem and Irving , I dont remember her name but she was manager . My daughter had no clue what was going on . She has had no problems and she is 18mnth old . Goodluck

Don't know about a jeweler; however, some years ago, I had my daughter's ears pierced at a hospital. You might want to check - I don't know if they still do that and the hospital that I used has recently closed. Good luck!
