My husband and I went to a counsling center located at the University. They work on a sliding fee scale so it is very nice. The couslers there are graduate students about to get certified so they are very good.

I love my family, we're all really good when things are going smooth; but when there's a bump in the road EVERYONE feels it. Unfortunately we've hit another bump. My husband is a very jealous person with an overactive imagination. I sometimes think that he's so hell bent on me cheating on him that we'll be over and done over nothing. His mother cheated on his father and I'm guessing that along with his insecurity is really why he's the way he is. I fell in love with him thinking he was such a strong person and seeing this side is really not attractive. I never go out, and I don't feel that I can tell him much of anything without sparking any jealousy. I could have a conversation with a man at work and no matter what the situation was I don't think I could ever tell him about it without worrying that he would blow it out of proportion and it would end up bitting me in the butt. I feel very stifled and I miss going out and having friends. My request is simple, I need a marriage counselor. I am not ready to call it quits, but something has to give. Me telling him he's imagining things isn't doing anything, I'm hoping a qualified professional will. If you know of any good counselors in Lincoln Ne, please let me know! We don't have much money saved, but if it brings us closer and gives him some perspective, I don't care how far in debt I get! Please help!!!

DH and I went to Lisa Blankenau. I think she's pretty good, too. Good luck, and hang in there!
Do you go to church? talk to clergy may help. If you dont go to church maybe look in the phone book. any domestic violence shelter can help too. so whatever you choose make the right decision. I know you will. I had a husband like that too and I went to the domestic violence shelter best thing I ever did. Good luck to you and your family. R.
Jeff Melvin does family counseling. He is in the Lincoln phone book. He is EXCELLENT! Definately worth looking into. Hang in there...you are headed in the right direction.
