Seeking Recommendations on Great Thrift/resale Shops in the Greater Sac Area

Hello,

I am looking for any and all recommendations for thrift shops in the area (Sac, Elk Grove, etc.). My 80-year old mother rarely gets out of the house, but loves to go to thrift stores. I am compiling a list of stores so we can go on "outings" together.

Thanks so much!

The Thrift Town stores are awesome! There are three stores. My favorite is the one on Fair Oaks Blvd, bu the other two are good too. They have a web site so you can get directions to all of them. They are always getting new stuff and it is clean and well organized. They also have sales all the time. Get on their V.I.P. list and you'll get emails when they are going to have sales. Also every day they have a certain color tag 50% off. I also want to second the comment on Deseret Industries. They are also clean and well organized. I have gotten a lot of great finds there. Happy shopping!

Hi M.,

There is a huge thrift store called Deseret Industries on Auburn Blvd west of Watt Ave. Also there is a Goodwill Superstore on Florin Rd and Franklin Blvd. I love them both, but I do think that Deseret Industries has a way better value for the money. Have fun.

Thrift Town in Carmichael would be a great place to take her.The store is huge and they recieve thousands of new items every day. Also, every Monday seniors recieve a 30% discount. Thrift Town is located on the corner of Marconi and Fair Oaks in Carmichael.
