We have a new puppy and she is in need of obedience training. My husband and I are considering taking her to puppy training at Petco. They are very reasonably priced. Other than that, I dod not know much about their program. Does anyone have any recommendations for reasonably priced obedience training in the Keller area?

I have taken dogs into my home for training. I have experience with rescue groups as well. Petco training is something you can easily do on your own. We have used Petsmart for all three of our dogs for basic stuff....but also used Stacy Hiebert (not sure of her married name). Here is her link. She is a bit more...but after you have "in home" classes you then get to go to their group classes every now and then for free. She and Anne are AMAZING and will have your dog be the BEST member of your family! They helped get our german shepherd ready for our little girls arrival.....they are great!

PetSmart and PetCo. both offer good puppy classes. It's a really good idea to do a group class like that in the beginning. Not only will it really help solialize your puppy with other dogs and people, but your pup will also learn to listen and obey with distractions.
If after that you want additional obedience training, ask your veterinarian to recommend someone.

K., We went to PetSmart, it was a good program and very reasonably priced plus I think it helps with socialization. Be ready to work with her on a daily basis while you take the class or it won't stick. I called around to other trainers in the area and most start at $200 for the initial consultation and go up from there.
