Seeking Preschool

I am not sure of any that are open until 8pm there are a few listed in Japanupdate.com that are open until 7pm. You might need to have someone pick your child up for the last hour until you can get off work to pick them up.

We were in Okinawa from 2001-2004. LOOOOVE it there. I also taught English in a local pre-school. To my knowledge there aren't any pre-schools that stay open that late. My pre-school wasn't even open until early evening.

We lived in Kitamae (across from camp Foster) and I about a half hour away....all the ones in my area only opened for morning classes as well.

We left in 2005 and to my knowledge there were not any preschools open past 6 p.m. Sorry I am not any help either I know there were two on 23 one school was a montessori but was not open late and the other was Wee Care.

You can try Zion Academy, but I think you will have to get someone to babysit after 6.

I don't know of any preschools that have extended care until 8 p.m. But I do know of some that are atleast until 5:30 or so. One is East West Montessori School on Route 23. The other is Little Angles near the Okinawa City Zoo, also Busy Bee Day Care. My child attends one and my friends children have attended and still attend the other two. Great feedback from both. My daughter goes to Wee Care International Preschool on Rt. 23. Their hours are 6 am to 6pm. I know this doesn't meet your 8 pm request but I just wanted to let you know about them. Maybe you could have someone get your child at 6 for the last two hours. They (Wee Care) are AWESOME!!! My daughter is 18 months old and LOVES going everyday. Anyway, when I was searching for daycare in Okinawa this was the place that had the longest hours and also the place that was the most flexible. I hope this has been some help to you. Good Luck!
